Not sure I get what you mean. When I trade them they're not mapped out, all I have is the Set-Up candle designating the zone. I trade whatever pair I've chosen as price crosses whatever the first trigger is. That's usually within the first few minutes but sometimes not and it gets traded whenever a trigger is hit (unless I get bored waiting and sod off to do something more interesting instead).

If I want to surf the zone, then the entries come when the entries come.

The charts I post at the end of the day are to give an idea of how price moved through the session.

morning, Dax 07-55 colour trade was a good short, it got about +10 and i got 4...
I have a counter on Cable from yesterday and i am not trading it today UNLESS we have a spike short as i will be ready (on automatic).
am currently trading A/U off 04-00 bar

Cable 04-00 break,,, you could of made approx 5/6 off the retrace so far, t 08-43

Hi Lem,
I'm intrigued as to how you and Billy execute these trades. Looking at the tick chart the trade you show this morning lasted all of 20 seconds before reversing 20 pips against you, all in just over a minute. Also, entering at the open I'm surprised you are not getting slipped regularly.
Not a criticism, I just don't know how you guys have time to enter and close and actually get fills where you want, unless you are using dedicated software.

......so you're Entering a "counter" trade on the HH "trigger" on Cable currently?

Hi Simon.

Yep, 20 seconds is actually kind of a luxury on this move!

I am going for +5% - getting the price to move that distance on the DAX is no effort at all. Using spread-betting charts I have my target profit already set and have never had any problems getting in and out. Sure, going in and out manually I may get +4, I may get +6.

I don't use dedicated software here (though have done in the past and may do so again) but I do have a hand-built set-up that is lightning fast (not built by me, I hasten to add but by someone who actually knows what they are doing, lol).

Don't get me wrong it can be like trying to catch lightning in a bottle - but that's half the fun.

Billy - sorry to be a pain but one more thing I meant to ask about this 07:55. Do you enter immediately on the close/open or do you wait for a break outside in the desired direction?

no, yesterday i was trading Cable off the retrace on the 04-00 bar as the +10 had not been triggered but the trade actual 04-00 low break failed.
I countered at the High and am currently -12, It is held in limbo until i trade again.
I can actually close this as i am well up on the week./month/year lol

how odd, i was just going to answer Simtrad's question. i actually enter just before 08-00 manually, this normally gets more on a short but it is best way i find, especially on a small range

edit, if your 07-55 bar is RED , i hit the sell button a second or two before uk open momentum carries it

t 09-41 IF you were trading Cable long off the 04-00 bar and trading retrace you could of made 1-10 points even though the +10 has not been made. right now it is running at 12962 , you could still long , cutting your loss down should it fail. You can make x amount then get out

again something that is going to cause me to take a hammer to my head. I was under the impression that with the 04-00 bar, we use the "other side" of the Bar or Box as our "SL" or "Other Trigger" or "Counter Trade Trigger"...........but in this example when price goes LONG and breaks the Upper HH's "trigger" and only goes a couple pips and doesn't reach +5 AND THEN REVERSES.....you entered a "counter" trade at the "HH Trigger" instead of waiting for price to go all the way back thru out the opposite side's LL Trigger...AND THEN ENTER A COUNTER trade. I was under the impression that we enter at -30 pips for our COUNTER on the DAILY Candle......and we use the OPPOSITE side of the bar for our COUNTER on the 04-00 Candle

04-00 High is 12974..... Low is 12950.... so range is 24.
High triggered then retraced, went back up then retraced down...
so far with retrace you could of made approx 10 points, the third retrace is still on. should it lose you wont lose your 24 but only the retrace entry
