I have noticed an anomaly.

BT deservedly gets stick for its broadband service. A couple of interesting facets have come into my sphere-of-notice.

1) My son (a few months ago) phoned and moaned about his broadband, and asked what the penalty is/was for leaving to subscribe to <the competition>. The customer service rep responded with an outstanding performance which included (I believe) giving them a new Hub-6, although he may have had to pay a token delivery charge or something. However the first noticeable aspect was that immediately (namely within minutes of the call) his broadband dropouts and other aberrations ceased. Hmmm........

2) Switching on the computers this morning ... everything is fine ... catch-up on 'the Hole' and after watching a couple of Info Wars vids etc the broadband is playing up. So now I am running with acceptable performance on my backup <competitor-wireless> broadband installation. Hmmm..... maybe they know I am not a TV nor Sports-package subscriber.... filtering on Info Wars or Rebel Media? Surely not ... they wouldn't ... would they?

I would switch, but the competition uses the Openretch carrier circuits. Virgin Fibre is not even in the village.....

There are two types of liberals, old type liberals like Milton Friedman types (capitalist, equal under law) and new types (socialist, equal outcome). You are definitely the former, but today that puts you in the Conservative wing. Nearly all classical liberals are Republican, or Tory, in the USA and UK. The Conservatives of today are more like the liberals of old, the names have assumed different definitions over time and there isn't much we can do about it.

I use BT fibre. No problem. No filtering.

Got a question Ex. I don't comment much on other country's politics or politicians cause I ain't there or understand the problems they face locally. But how in hell did he get elected mayor in the first place? Does London have that large a muslim population or are the people just that dumb. (aka New York electing a declared communist)
