You can see from the following post that he doesn't understand what the horizontal lines are. But, I'm with you. May I ask what platform that is? MT4 really is congested and your charts look so much more solid/cleaner. I already know what you're doing. I just want something that is friendlier on the eyes.

that was an hourly EU chart, no...I only got a glance at that one bar for like a millisecond before you deleted it....

How did you derive the 99 figure. ? Are we that rare ? The one thing I keep seeing here at Forex Factory is the leverage is way too high. We got heroes going around showing off their high leverage winnings , but the truth is those accounts don't last long before a margin call and the proces starts over again with a new account .

I trade with low leverage and it so much easier , less stress,you make better decisions , hold on to winners longer. you talk to any pro fund manager they tell you the same .
when I say low leverage you take a 500 pip drop say and still survive .

If he ever uses one of my trading accounts, he'd become the richest person on earth. Even far richer than Jesse Livermore and the richest person of today. And yet he is a humble fellow which i really like.

Thanks for finding the rare case. You need to get the concept of leverage in your mind and understand as I can tell you, you will end up in the 99%. only the best traders in the world can do that over a long period of time. To assume you can do he same without all the help you can get like low leverage I would put the probability at a low percent.

Why use low leverage when you can use high leverage and trade less of the account? I'd rather use 10% of a 50x account than 50% of a 10x account. At least that way I know I won't be receiving a margin call any time soon... and I have that extra wiggle room if necessary to either recover a trade or just place more trades if great opportunities occur.

I get it: Most traders have terrible self-control (that's probably one of the biggest hurdles they need to learn to overcome).

But let's be honest: Having low leverage available puts you at a disadvantage.

If you're using 50% of a 10x account and the price goes up 10% then you get a margin call.

If you're using 10% of a 50x account and the price goes up 10% then you don't.

With all due respect. I think that if your strategy makes you a consistent winning in a low leverage broker or with low risk [lot] trading. You should be able to apply it to a higher leverage and risk trading. I dont know any one who can live with 1 to 5 dollar profit per day. Even in a 3rd world country 1 to 10 usd per day is not enough. Think again if you live in a first world country like the US, UK, Australia, EU countries is that amount enough to support the living standard? That is why increase your risk when you have gain full trust on your trading system that way it can transform trader's life to the higher level.

This is a common problem unfortunately, designing your strategy around how much you need for your life style, rather then how much is suitable for the risk. Just because you need a new suit you put the pips up. the risk still needs to be recalculated and a back up plan if things go bad. Unfortunately, this is often not managed appropriately.

Increase your risk when you have gain full trust on your trading system that way it can transform trader's life to the higher level.
