now i get how it works, but i have locked two trades and arbitrage conditions are not happening, it is almost 1 day now. I am using VPS in NY, and the software is showing latency 60 ms.

If VPS in NY - your brokers should be in NY as well and you need to use feed from NY
if VPS in London - your brokers should be in London and you need to use feed from London
Arbitrage is about latency :-)

On the first account you see operated the DAX, but in the other you don't see

Do you know if regular 2 leg arbitrage still works? (hedging two brokers against eachothers)

Yes, why not.
I think the best way to use 2-legs arbitrage - diff to open < diff to close. In this case you will catch differences between LPs

And the brokers dont complain about it? As long as i cover myself by leaving orders open for say one hour or two.

Hi, I cannot send messages yet on this forum. because of my low post count.

I'm interested in the EA and i plan on making some serious moves with on a live account. Not much has been said about specific arbitrage EAs that work or setting this up or the brokers it can be used with. i don't want to distort the thread with my questions.

i am really interested in giving this a shot. can we chat on skype?

depends from broker. If broker has anti-arbitrage plug-in based on fast feed as well, I think it is only one way to do arbitrage - Locking Arbitrage. You can find the article about anti-arbitrage plugin on iticsoftware blog. I do not remember the link.
But I think if you use small diff to open and higher diff to close - it should work good. It is also good idea to trade fix api account vs MT4.

I checked your profile to read your posts. You make a lot of advertisement for BJF Trading group and his arbitrage software. You are writing from Ukraine. If I remember correctly Boris from BJF Trading Group comes from Ukraine too.
Normally I do not care if someone tries to make publicity for his product. And maybe I got you wrong and you are not someone from BJF Trading group that tries to sell his product. But anyway I need to write about my experience with the arbitrage software from BJF Trading Group as I bought it by myself.

To sum it up in one sentence: I wasted a lot of time and money.

I tried 15 different brokers and it was simply not able to make any profits. I wrote endless emails to BJF and tried every little hint they gave me. That was just bla bla to keep me interested and to send me even more offers to buy addons like manual trading emulator and 2leg arbitrage. I tried them too and it was even more waste of money and time.

You cannot profit from this way of trading because there are so many plugins from Metaquotes to protect the brokers of arbitrageurs. The MyFXBook links you posted are funny because both of them are pocket money accounts below 200 bucks initial deposit. Why pay three times more for a software and deposit only like nothing? No money left to trade? Too afraid of losing the deposit? Cant imagine a good reason for it.

Well, here is my recommendation for everybody who is considering to buy that arbitrage software: Don't do it. Nobody would sell a cash cow. And that is what they claim that piece of software to be!

Arbitrage can only work when you are in B-Book of the broker. That means the broker is taking the counterpart to your positions. If you win the broker loses. If you trade arbitrage you are winning all the time. The broker will simply put you into A-Book. That means your orders are routed into the real market. There arbitrages loses its magic. No one is filling an order that has a price from past. That is how latency arbitrage works. You know the actual price is at 1.11955 and you try to buy for a lower price e.g. 1.11945. That means you need someone who sells for 1.11945. But who should do that? Would you sell for a cheaper price than you could get? You do not get any fills or fills only with slippage eating up exactly the price difference you made out as an arbitrage opportunity.
That is why locking arbitrage cannot work too. Maybe it hides that you are trading arbitrage for some time. But as soon as you start to trade profitable -regardless the strategy you chose- your broker is going to put you into A-Book because he does not take counterpart from winning traders.

And yes, there are brokers that allow arbitrage. E.g. JFD is allowing it. They have no problem with it because they simply never take the counterpart of any trades and always rout into market (at least they say they act like that). You can try to trade arbitrage there and experience how it will work with being in an A-Book.

Arbitrage trading goes beyond API on your pc. There is a special config that boycots your brokers trading server and feeder. I have been doing research on it now for 3 years and have come up with how best it can work. your pc must be ordered and configured here;

Because we to locate your real account with brokers of your choice to build your script and build a vps It is operating with optical fiber directly in the brokerage house and transactions operate in milliseconds. So what kind of arbitrage you made? Latency or 2 legs?
