Way passed my bedtime. Decided to take +2 and close the trade. Was good that the SL was placed high enough in order not to be taken. Tough night...

Congrats. If I would have taken the trade, I would never have had the SL such high.

Finally I have found a trade on Dax. Short until retest of previous structure (+11). Price should drop more, but I have other things to do (wife already angry).

Rightfully the SL should always be placed 10 PIPs above/below the main swing's previous high/low and I was lucky PA did not test the previous high cos I had placed the SL just 10 PIPs above the 78.6% which is not ideal.

Hey guys I have a trade management question. I did not move my stop to BE yet because this doesn't qualify as a test of structure to me. Would you guys call this a test of structure?

Depends.. I used to move to BE on this situation but I got stopped out often just to see price hit my TP. So I started moving my SL to BE only after close below/above previous NSL/NSH. I didn't follow that rule yesterday and I got stopped out on YM for a BE trade ...
But like I said it depends on the PA and where you entered. If you entered @ 78.6 than you have more room to protect your trade so you could move to BE earlier. But if you entered @ 50% or 38.2% than IMO you have to give the trade some room.

Agree with x3m-PippiN, depends on situation, I personally would look for any signs of strength or weakness on the retracement and if there's some immediate order flow structure that should really hold price (near B.E.)...

Considering also context, EURUSD 30m HTF structure (resistance), price having some trouble getting past that:

Thanks, I will pat myself on the back since this was my exact thought process - been taken out for BE too many times also.
Juri - thanks for the analysis, the strength of the bearish retrace doesn't make me feel good, but did not persuade me to move SL yet. It DID prevent me from doubling my position for a better price (I entered with half my normal position since I still expected price to come a bit lower. That rotation cued me to enter where I did). Really appreciate the comments guys, go make some $$$ today .
