...And Europe heading home with a rather very jittery afternoon session. A few important highlights coming in the last few hours:

--> First, in a rather unexpected and measured 'slip of the tongue' after the last round of UK soft numbers, UK government pretty a announcing tax hikes coming. Very strong and bearish news for the economy and UK equities. Major news that will be only subdue until France is cleared.

--> On the French front as we saw with Breixt and DT, lots of noise of rumours flowing under the table trying to outguess the weekend flow. Extreme right sliding out on the finishing line in favour of the extreme left is the latest.

Take it with a huge pinch of salt obviously given the circumstances, but 'leak' of last poll circulating in investment circles is a technical tie but for the second place.....

==> On top lots of big US market influencing talking heads flooding the wires demanding a clear guideline and details from DT economic policy front. Obviously all big $$$$ preemptive a weekend fck off in case France flops and the current soft pullback becomes a global carnage....

As usual very noisy and jittery markets for the close. For trading expecting nothingness to take over for the rest of the day.

Although @Replicant already did it (I'll get back to your detailed reply in a few) we can officially open the floor in the thread for French elections talk for the weekend.....

Like always in events like this, politics will be involved given the news but let's try to keep to markets and economics implications as much as possible....

the market dont care about rest. it's friday.. the uj bulls will win the london week.. the day, probably bears. its close on the day.. since it never reached 0874/66.. the day being bear to me is welcome. for a rise next week, but 0874 b4 rise... granted, election may change everything..

Gator thats not fair, you keep pushing the support further and further towards 0795. We are ok with a retest of 8.75 and then 110.xx. better would be straight 110.xx --------110.6x--------111.4x---------1.0795-------1.03xx.
How is that for a flow / roll/ momentum/ wishlist....

the spoos soft going into the big weekend, but at 2,350 it's sitting in the same place it was +/- for the last 2 months...there's an election in France, right? If I had to bet whether more than 50% of Americans could find France on a map, I would not put up more than 50c.

French elections, Brexit, etc, all a slow-moving train wreck - not enough to spike the ^VIX....it takes something unexpecteed to really pop it anymore, like maybe what would happen if all the major world powers have their navies putzing around in the Sea of Japan next week, with various troops amassed at various borders, and various crazy heads of state trying to get their ratings up?
