Taking a quick brew-break and wanted to post this chart for Mr-T and the other UC-Crew, just as a word of heads-up caution while I remembered to do so.

At last. Thumbs can stop being twiddled. Took a wobble but the original long entry came good for The Frankenbreak...+5 locked. {image}
But I traded the DZ instead.
Today's trading results:
- AUDUSD DZ +6.8 pips
I was a bit late. I saw that price already broke the low but retraced. I jumped in on a sell and targeted +5 pips below the DZ low. Price reversed when I was at +5 pips so I was tempted to close at BE, but I decided to be patient and follow the plan. I was willing to counter at the DZ high. Price went back down and TP was hit.

For the record, v2 did hit its pt as well but v1 is still bumbling along doing not much of anything. It'd be in a counter and if I had been trading it, I would have been likely to have taken what I could and closed it out by now.
As for The Dead Zone's World of Fun and Frolics - well there was actually a multitude of pretty solid options today. I went for UJ but there were set-ups on EJ, AU, GN, GU, AN and NJ.
AU was a good call for you, as it was a likely Dead Cat Bounce, with room to move.
EJ was ok but nothing special as such.
GN looked good but actually was a little trapped between the potential turning point above and last night's Witching Hour Zone below.
AN was absolutely perfect coming down out of its Witching Hour Zone - but the spread was truly shocking, lol and unfortunately the exact same situation took NJ out of the game as well.
GU on a second viewing just looked a bit cramped in a shallow range and after yesterday's hysterics, I wasn't that keen anyway (though you would have bagged a short, Claudia, if you'd been on it), again a WZ trade out of last night's Witching Hour levels.
I did miss one out - completely dropped the ball on this one - GOLD - A perfect Northbound WZ and then if you'd hung around, an even better second entry on the reverse Southbound flight. I have no excuse for missing it. Just not one I've traded for a while and I skated over it. Idiota!
Anyway, that left me with imo the best set-up over all, UJ. Just had everything going for it.
Have a look and you'll see what I saw...

If you have a situation like you found yourself in today (or even as an overlay on any DZ trade you are in), run a fib on the set-up bar and you will have a pretty good set of tp points. Have a look at your AU today...
As an advanced technique on DZ, you can look at closing and locking your profit (easiest way is to take 80% off the table) at the fib level and then, after the retrace, add-in to your position. After all, someone a hell of a lot wiser than I, from a galaxy, far, far, away, once said that if you aren't wiling to add in to your position once it's running, you may as well close it.
If you look at my charts on UJ, you can see that on the first move, we got this alignment...
Then on the second entry option, we saw this (off of the previous candle to the move, note)...
You can in fact build up a fib-map by then adding in extensions from the last major move, prior to The Dead Zone etc. Zoom out and look at how the overview 61.8 level has held up for my tp point.
Fibs work, particularly as potential tp points, precisely because other traders think they work, so they are a self-fulfilling prophecy. They are not perfect but can serve as a useful framework to your trade-management.

Closing out my day with a final move from my Brent-US Crude end of town. Hardly the most exciting of days here - I had hoped for some sort of reaction to the Crude Oil Inventories news just gone by...nope...hardly a murmur.
Ah well, it did good enough - yawn - over the day. No complaints...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
