This thread is just sad. Not only does few red flag members cussing at each other but it clearly displays the overall failure rate for most members here in FF. Yes i admit i am also not a profiting trader yet but seriously, i believe that those who made good money really have no time for these bullshits.

This thread should be closed as it spawns nothing but negativity. It's a hard enough day today. I bet most are losing money today because of the strong and unpredictable moves. Why dwell on these negativity more?

Brush up the losses, move away from this nonsense and trade another day. At least that's what i am trying to do.

This threasd sums up the frustration that most traders have. Almost everyone loses in Forex. Sometimes I wish I'd never been introduced to it. I could have spent a lot more time enjoying myself!

I finally give in. Im going to provide the OP with a practical, simple and elegant solution which will put him on the right path.
Patience, Observation, Common sense, Consistency, Discipline, with a 'next...next...moving on..next...next' mindset the OP will have to do alone.
Ok here goes,::

- GMT 8.00 - 16.00 -> nice and sunny depending on 'conditions'. If they are not there then dont trade and/or move elsewhere.
- 50% accuracy -> depends on activity during said 'conditions', activity plays a huge role here, the 'more the merrier'.
- 3-5 trades/session -> easy peasy, providing previous 2 points.
- RR 1:2 -> Absolutely doable, although may need to 'adjust on the fly' depending on 'unfolding conditions'. But overal doable.

Heres the layout.:

1) Find a beach that is packed -> ideal is turist zones.
2) Identify which of tourists fit the profile.
3) Approach tourists on beach offering them with a mouthwatering refreshing slushpuppy and/or ice cold milkshake.
4) Sell to them at 2:1 markups.
5) Rinse and repeat until 4/5 trades succesfully completed.

The key is to filtering -> approach the thirsty, sweaty, burnt and uncomfortable looking tourists (sun exposure).
Either way, a trade will be made -> they say yes, or they say no.

Jokes aside, OP, CP's post hit the nail on the head, firmly i may add.

I became more profitable when I decided to trade just one pair the GER30 also known as DAX, I posted a MM technique you might wanna check out. You really only need the DAX to become profitable. It is very liquid.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm? Yes. I used to lose money on this kind of move but now, if I switch to a 1 minute chart, I throw in a few pending orders for very small lots and get ready to close them for next to no loss if they fail. You will see it was possible today if you look at the 1 minute chart because of strong and consistent moves. I ended putting a 40 pips trailing stop loss on everything, fully expecting a full retrace. Anyway, as you can see, my trades closed in profit automatically at 1.2860 from about 1.2660+. The key is we broke the day high on a very impulsive move. I suppose this will make more people miserable, for whatever reason.

On a more mellow note, if you were to read my thread "What should you be doing?" I shared a few ideas. I am not a teacher, nor are most of the red flag traders. Some get the red flag because they post lots but still have no idea. Go easy on us or we will all go away.

Freakout, I don't know if you or anybody else may have noticed this ... while what you were looking for seem reasonable and possible, I would say it is highly unlikely to achieve on a consistent day-in and day-out basis. I am not talking about any particular trading method, but just looking at the potential result based on the accuracy rate and win/loss ratio you specified. Without using more sophisticated approaches like random number generator and Monte Carlo simulation, I did a quick Excel spreadsheet to calculate what the return on account would look like, just to illustrate a point. It shows in 22 trading days (about 1 month), taking 4 trades a day, an account with $10 starting balance, risking $1 per trade (so the strategy can lose 9 trades in a row at the beginning and still continue, or one can use a smaller initial capital to increase the return on capital), could grow to $54 (without compounding). Five times an account in one month. If that kind of system result doesn't qualify as a holy grail, I wonder what will.

What can we infer from this? Maybe your goal is set too high? Maybe if you set the trade requirements less stringent so they are easier to achieve, you won't be so frustrated when accomplished? When consistency is achieved, then use compounding to scale up $ profits. Just a suggestion.

I think so too. All they do is just trade quitely and make money because these BS aren't going to make them money at all. I admire the positivity and belief that profitability is just there and can be achieved. I might just do the same as you.
Patience and Discipline, these are the Holy Grail.
