they are for the my method sucks bit which you would know as it took you 0.0008 of a millisec to p*ss over it. Trashing something that you have not even given a sec to consider shows you are running at a level way below your shoe size. Dismissing pairs agreeing alone says a lot, so if GBP is moving against multiple pairs that doesn't give you a trading advantage? Sometimes stay quiet and people will think you are stupid rather than open your mouth and people will know you are stupid.

Not at war with you at all but your blow hard make the loudest noise sometimes, just sometimes says it all for those that listen. Every jerk that shouts the loudest to win an argument sometimes is just a jerk that shouts the loudest.

Nah probably rubbish idea. Pairs agreeing, higher lows, buy above ma's.

But Cindy yet again whether you shout louder now still not the point if my rubbish system works or not. Its find a method, get rules written down, back test and check that it can work. Indi's are there for you to confirm a rule so that you have a fact based method to research as opposed to looking back saying I'll take that trade or not to suit yourself. That was the point of the thing.

But you know best.

Holy smoke this higher low, pairs agreeing, buy above ma thing got lucky again. But hey Cindy must be rubbish so let me ditch what I've used for years (with a tweak here and there) because its obviously going nowhere. Can you give me some pointers on how to do it?

Ok, ok, ok I am disappointed in myself, the levels I have sunk to, so all the best Cindy I bow to your superior knowledge.

Okay when do I search for the thread or will you post a link here, also I noticed you use the AO a bit differently, you don't wait for price to cross the 0 line do you? You just enter on a change of colour of the momentum bar?

While others have spent 10 years trying to trade but missing the most important part of it. People think that looking at charts and drawing lines and taking some trades once in a while should be enough. Because they are trying. They are working hard, making extreme sacrifices, and believing that they are closer to making it...... next week.

But the long string of, "It will be better next week" just gets longer and longer. People are undisciplined. They don't trade their system, they do all kinds of random things at odd hours that happen to suit their daily routine and still think they are trying.

If you replace trading with words like golf, guitar, or sports.... it is easier to see just how small your efforts are. It takes a Super Bowl performance to win everyday. If Super Bowl players walked on the field with a shoulder shrug and a "Let's see how it goes today" you know they're getting their ass beat.

@Everyone - Is your preparation, and your playbook, and your extremely intense focus on winning the next play - Is it as professionally organized as a Super Bowl team on game day?? If not, then the problem is not in the charts, or method - and your skills may even be very high..... but we may never know.

Over the couple weeks, I've been testing a new strategy by trading according to the general market sentiment analysis. I've accomplished some interesting profits by just looking at SSI but would like to know if any of you also use this strategy in your trading and if you recommend using any other indicator.

Your comment failed push lower, that alone is worth lots to those that can get it in their head. If LO drifts or has small move then the odds of better than average move in other direction is higher. Its just the way it is, they have an ADR for a reason.

I remember making a comment to Islander many many moons ago as you do when faced with someone of obviously superior skills. Yes the now frequently seen comment about 10,000 hours in front of the screen was the reason he gave for his skill set. It was only when I researched a project with him that it became apparent just how much research he puts into everything he does. He knows exactly what he wants to see in his trading because of that level of research.

My last comment and then I am really outta here. If you can build a method around buy dips in uptrend sell rallies in downtrend then that alone is worth gold. Trend is of course time frame dependent. There are hundreds of methods/threads at FF that are variations on that simple fact.

But as has now been said 14 times in the last few hours, get your trade rules and test test test (20 days up, 20 days down 20 days sideways markets minimum).

but for the 2nd point, could we understand a forex pair, is merely to use one currency to price tag the other currency?

it is simply to use USD to give EUR a nominal price exactly same way as using USD to give oil or corn a nominal price. after all, EUR is merely an item, a product, just like a commodity.

Now that right there is exactly what I'm talking about. People here are always comparing charts, levels, systems, indicators, egos, and {slang}.

But no one ever compares "levels of effort" or amounts of discipline. They toss around words like discipline in an empty and meaningless way.

So - two traders with the same system and rules get different results because they are not the same. One uses serious focus and discipline, while the other plays video games and pretends to 'keep one eye on the charts'.

My take on this is that the oil and corn examples assume that they are priced with a static dollar. I don't think that is the case.
I believe that the dollar can go up or down in value and change the prices of all commodities accordingly.

Euro is priced in Dollars but it is also priced in yen (EuroYen). And although the two are often correlated, both sides of the trade are constantly changing in value.

When Euro, Pound, and Aud are all moving in the same correlated direction...... that is a Dollar move. The Dollar is not static no matter the commodity being priced.
