IMHO numbers are manipulated by brokers to encourage people to open accounts with them. In my experience and I have plenty of it (but i'm still in 95%), I have seen a lot of "mentors", "brilliant strategy", etc, no one is perfect and fails when it comes for long run. Still searching for the winners...
Your instinct serves you well. It's approximately 80% losing, 15% breakeven, 5% winning. And yes, the stats are gamed at most brokerages. Probably not a conversation to get deep into, given the sponsorship of FF is by brokers, but it always pays to know the market your trading.

Here is my take on this, another Forex Myth, "find what works for you"

so, with millions and millions of Forex traders out there, everyone has to find what works for them

but no, they don't find anything works for them, because they are 95% losers

so it's time to re-invent that advice, how about?

"Find what works for one of the 5% traders, and get him to teach you what works for him"
It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.

I think this has too many numbers here, but probably not too far fetched. I'm just inclined to think that 5% is talking about successful traders who are making big bucks, but out of that 95% you can identify another 5-7% of relatively successful traders, they just don't have as many successful deals, but in any case they are in the profit.

They lose on the grounds that they trade forex with novice frameworks, futile poop examination from nontraders, and following beginners. They won't pursue the right forex strategy
