Billytt Die happy trading e/j daily breakout

Was working a set of 1-2-3 set-ups on the indices and in the right place at the right time for this Billy-Bar break on the France40...

t 09-05, cable made +5 even with a 5 buffer.... we have news later,i shall now look at dax.

Dax moved well, it opened with a slight dip then went up up up, yay... i didn't trade it..

Cable 4 hour ( 4am) -straight "Billy Bar" break got your plus 5 easily. I did a Lem "wick zone" and lost three short but made it up via a long through upper "wick zone."

Bit quiet today. Even my Diff trade is moving at snail's speed.

For the coming DZ, UC looked to be setting up nicely for us today, Mr-T but it's gone and left itself in a right, weird shape by the looks of things. AU looks a bit more likely.

Took longer than it usually does but hey, what else am I going to be doing with my time, right?

Thank you for the feedback Lem! It's funny how I was only able to be breakeven on today's FB because of this exact reason. I tend to like having small buffers, at least for buying because the spread might trigger the buy but not actually break the high and then reverse. I'll try to get rid of this habit.

Today's trading results:

1. EURGBP FB +2.1 pips (but basically BE because of commission)
   I had a 1 pip buffer because of the spread. Only went up 4.4 pips. Reversed. Countered with a sell at the middle of the FB zone. Added a sell when price reached the FB low. I was supposed to close the buy position when I added the sell, but I was a bit late because there was news and price was moving fast. Aimed for 5 pips below the low and closed both sell positions.
   
   If I hadn't used the 1 pip buffer, I could've had an easy +5. If I closed the buy position fast enough, I could've had "some" profit instead of being BE. Shoulda woulda coulda. I woke up late and couldn't trade the DZ.

Hi SFX. Sounds like you're getting into a groove on this. It takes a few bad-breaks that you still come good (or good-ish) on to get your eye in. Keep on going and the process gets smoother and smoother.

One thing I have been looking at is running a fib through the zone on FB and entering any counter at the 61.8 instead of the mid-line. This means that if price does indeed continue on to the other side, then you will have more positive pips on the counter - however if it turns and doesn't go all the way on the counter-move, you will have less running ''against'' you on the original trade.

Have a look back and add the fib and take a look at how price respects those levels in there.

As far as things running fast, well, yes it does - that's why it's such a great training ground for the other methods. Michael Schumacher was once asked how he managed to manage his reactions through the fast corners on an F1 track. He replied that he didn't even think about the corner he was at, as he was already thinking about the next one. This is how you need to think when running this kind of method - two moves ahead. You learn this by running rep, after rep, after rep, till it becomes second nature.

Oh and while I'm at it - I will point out that neither V1 or V2 on the FB made their targets today. Both are still in limbo.

AU for me today. Took a spikey route to profit but got there. No complaints...and neither should anyone around the UC part of the world (lookin' at you, Mr-T ).

i have not looked at any charts (except Lems posts) and i will be trading Cable 07-45 bar later today...

t 07-57, almost ding ding. Lets see how Cable 045 bar goes. It looks like a short but i have 2 mins to go. Catch you later

t 08-32 , Cable Long trade closed, it did look like a short but the 07-45 Low did not break.

The High got either +5 (with buffer) or +10% without. i am not saying what i did lol. I am out again now as my trading day is over.

Meanwhile over here, The Frankenbreak has been and gone, in a super-clean short for my +5...
