those missiles must have buzzed some Russian troops (low altitude). it didnt hear of any Russian defence taking any out, yet anyway.

At the end of WW2 Russia did not have the bomb. We had the edge. Lost it in 1949.

On August 29, 1949, the Soviet Union exploded its first atomic bomb. It came as a great shock to the United States because they were not expecting the Soviet Union to possess nuclear weapon knowledge so soon.

ezone could have been much larger pushing into asia. probably less M.E. wars, and terrorist ..

yeah we'll see about the dirty and shiny with the oneoff ... good luck. I am almost always in some kind of ^vix derivatives spreads, but not with any size now. I need time to plan the big boondoggles. I was shopping new positions today but held off cuz I thought we'd get a equities spike off a big NFP number tomorrow. Trading options is not the place to be to respond to surprise events. It's a long time til NYO so I'll be watching & waiting....I'm way in cash and that's not the worst place to be at all if all hell is about to break loose.

Yes it would have been a different world. Cold war between U.S. and Russia ever since. Constant one upmanship re military strength....even the space race, which in a way may have unintentionally benefited mankind. But we all could have benefited so much more if smaller slices of budgets went to military. Trump is repeating and reinforcing that mistake now, at huge cost to social and environmental programs.

I noticed Trump was mentioning God more than ever in the speech a few minutes ago. Three or four times. Even closed with "God bless the entire world". Not saying it means anything. Just noticed it.

I dont know. Tillerson just contradicted that pretty clearly according to reporters at the briefing. Where'd you see the Pentagon message?
