hi,
How to read data from different chart windows???
example, i open 2 chart windows, EURUSD and GBPUSD.
i am running an EA or trading in the chart windows of EURUSD,
but i would like to read some data/ label data that listed in GBPUSD chart windwos.
i did not add the indicator in each chart windows because the indicator that i run in GBPUSD chart windows is quit heavy/ memory consume.

is there anyway to do it?

If you are using MT4 : not possible

its a indicator data,
its ok, i found a solution, which i can use GlobalVariables to read it in different chart windows.

Since right now there is less traders using mt5, your orders execution time on mt5 is faster.
With latest metatrader 5 builds you have the option to allow hedging and skipping fifo, so they are similar regarding that too (unless you are a US based trader trading on a US regulated broker in which case it is meaningless change to you since there is a completely different set of rules than for the rest of the world)

Code execution wise, metatrader 4 was always faster (that never was a secret - they can state whatever they want and make tests of any sort they want - place same indicator on same chart in metatrader 4 and metatrader 5 and see, and you can clearly see it, the difference in speed of drawing that same thing). We can do whatever we want but we can not speed that up, whatever optimizations of the code we do

As far as the rest - coding language for example in new builds of metatrader 4 and metatrader 5 : they are very similar now. There are things that you can not make in metatrader 4 but those are compensated by larger code base for metatrader4.

The biggest difference right now is a complete lack of offline charts in metatrader 5.

So, I leave you decide what do you consider to be the most important factor to decide which to use.

There are no renkos, range bars, tick charts, ... all those things simply can not be made for mt5

They announced (unofficially) some time ago that it will be done, but it was quite a few months ago and after that neither new information was available nor anything was done in that direction. So, for now, seems that it is status quo : no offline charts

If you use mt4, you can use "Global variables" or "File functions" to transfer data from different chart.
