One more experiment (that does not have anything with the non lag ma)
A variation of the William Blau's trend strength index indicator with trade/no trade zones (tradestation version)

hello mladen, what is the use of " depth" in the settings, if i change the " depth" from one to 3 for example, what will happen ?

That is the depth of the "recursion" : the bigger the number the more it deviates from the stochastic itself and you are getting a completely new indicator

Sometimes its hard to see what the indicator variable changes do to the indicator, or what indicators are -
Here's a version that puts the main variables on the screen. Some additional work could be done to ensure no entered values can produce out-of-range errors, they crash the indicator, and are stored in global memory, so you have to fix it to make the indicator work again.
Click on the prompt of the gray boxes to cycle through valid values. Warning - MN1 takes awhile. Just enter new values into the white boxes.

Already quite a few mt4 versions were made
Newest version you can find here adx indicators metatrader though. Since there are more versions, probably the best is not to upload them all at this thread but to check the original posts

Did you try using the CChartObjectLabel for that purpose (from ChartObjects\ChartObjectsTxtControls.mqh)?
That might save you some headache

Just curious: Do you/have you made any money with any of these?

In real or demo account - either would work. I'm just curious if you tried any of these out in real testing and saw success.

Did you try them? Unlike EAs, isn't the indicator much easier to test (at least visual test)?

As far as I am concerned indicators are as simple as it gets (the usage) : attach it to the chart, see if it will be profitable, check some other settings (default settings are just that : default settings, and they can not be good for all symbols and all time frames), and then see it again... No need for endless hours of testing and guessing. So, if they show on charts that they are profitable (and that is easy to see), then they are profitable (of course this apply only to systems that are the simple "buy, close, sell, close, ...", for anything more complicated than the simplest "one signal/one indicator trading" EAs must be written)

Of course all above said would not work for repainting indicator, but I am not posting any repainting indicators. The conclusion should be simple

Please think twice about your question! No indicator alone can be profitable. You need much more than that for a valid strategy/system. Maybe the indicator can tell you when to enter or/and exit. But the much more difficult part is risk- and trademanagement. Imagine an indicator that is always right about the direction of price, without knowledge about risk, exit and trademanagement you can loss even with such an indicator.

Keep this also in mind when the next scam artist will try to sell you any magic indicator.

Averages rainbow
Plotting up to 256 averages using two color line for each average. Supported average types in this version

  1. Simple ma
  2. Exponential ma
  3. Smoothed ma
  4. Linear weighted ma

Usual stuff included too (line styles, colors, weights) and usual set of 22 types of prices)
