I read some Bloomberg news prior to the release and figured it would go long but I got out after it retracted so I only came away with +7 pips. I also shorted the EUR/USD at the same time and it's doing ok. +5 and trending south.

I have an Entry at 1.1120, it was filled at 1.1140 1 minute after the news when clearly the move was going down!
20 PIPS SLIPPAGE is totally stupid! Their Excuse, "the price GAPPED"!
So I showed them a tick chart - their tick chart and clearly, there were prices to match my order. I even showed them that the price DID NOT GAPPED as I pointed out there was a 1.1134 and a 1.1132 2-pip downmove before resuming upmove.
So they answered me back saying, there was no market <--- the ultimate cover all shot gun answer they can give. HELL, if they decide NOT to enter me, they can do so, and they can put me at the worst price and claim "sir that is the best price".
You know what?
When I called their Deal Desk, I tld them my entry was 1.1120, they immediately told me "ohh and you were entered at 1.1140, that was a valid entry" <--- I was amazed how they knew that? Back in my mind, I realized because they were dealing against me.

My NorthFinance was able to enter me at my price. They were far better. Sure I am getting out of GFT with a loss; better that way than to loose all my money.

I know some of you must think we should stop whining about our brokers, but truth is that they make promises to some of us before we open an account they don't and probably can't keep. If brokers would just be honest none of this would ever have to happen.

I totally accept slippage if that was all what happened to me.
GFT totally waited for the market's move. They saw that the price was down to 1.1120-1130s 1-2 minutes later and entered me at 1.1140. This is bull. They traded against me.
This is what pissed me off. IF they simply entered me at 1.1140 and immediately showed me my position on my screen, at least I would have been alarmed to close it for a minimal loss or a possible fighting chance. BUT HELL NO! they waited for the the trend to settle lower to enter me at the highest price.
Twice has it occured to me. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. I wont be fooled third time..

Sure some of you are getting along well with them. Perhaps because you were placing $10K lot sizes.. Truth be told, Slippage is acceptable, Trade against you is totally not acceptable.
I agree that playng against you is bad.
Fortunatly Im sure about saxo integrity and that they did only Slippage, probably was lack of liquidity... Who knows!
