If they are EU citizens they cannot be removed because they have the right to remain under EU laws and EU human right legislation. No I don't see what you mean the law here says 16 minimum. Anything under that is paedophilia. So a culture that openly thinks it's ok to marry a 12 year old in my country is clearly a problem. No further discussion required, it's clear as night and day. Don't need to concern about other areas of the world or what porn industry thinks. Their culture is a problem. I don't want it in my country. Even the homegrown ones who have the same beliefs, they can be sent to the lands of their parents and grandparents if they want to act on those beliefs. It's really very clear cut. If I had my way all the grooming gangs who been caught in Rotheram, Telford etc would be executed. Don't need to be spending taxpayers money on keeping them alive. Their beliefs are like Blacpool Rock, they go right through them.

Yes, I believe in creationism. It is the only logical path. No, I do not believe the earth is 4000 years old. A day in the eyes of the Lord is like 1000 years. And that is just an estimate. It has been proven that carbon dating has some significant flaws. So it is entirely possible that creationism and evolution may be one and the same. If you read Genesis carefully, Adam and Eve were not the first humans on Earth.

Why is creationism the only "logical" path? There is nothing logical about a story written a couple of millennia ago. Enlighten me, where is the (scientific) proof? What proof do you have that "Lord" exists? Why is it the Christian God and not Allah, or the Hindu Gods or any other?

Is it OK to sodomize 12-13 year old boys, if in your view it is OK to have sex with 12-13 year old girls? How about homosexuality? That is not something the Bible condones.

You see, there is no rational reasoning to support a religious argument. Once you try to go down that road, you will look immensely stupid and be swiftly annihilated.

Islam and Women
Dr. Younus Shaikh (http://www.rationalistinternational.net/Shaikh/2001.08.26.htm)

http://www.faithfreedom.org/oped/YounusShaikh50331.htm

"Later on, however, the insecurity of early Islam gradually added to the exclusion of women, and 100 years later, by the reign of the Abbasid Caliph Haroon ur Rashid, women became merely sexual toys and breeding machines; and as married women they were merely maid servants- mere man's social appendages. Moreover, as female sex-slaves, women were freely bought and sold in open markets of all Islamic countries, and loaned, rented or bestowed as gifts to friends. The prophet himself bestowed women sex-slaves to his favourites. There was no limit to the number of slaves one could own; one of the companions of prophet Hazrat Zubair Ibn ul Arvan, for example, had 1000 men-slaves and 1000 women sex-slaves. Islam took the woman as the land tilled by the man where he spilled his seeds."

In centuries and millennia past, religion was a way of explaining certain phenomena to the masses. It was also a way of control and to ensure survival of society. Some examples: the star of Bethelehem. Really did it signify a sign from God of a new messiah or was it a planetary alignment of Saturn and Jupiter which occurs every 140 years? Now, of course we have the verifiable and substantiated scientific explanation. Jews and Muslims don't eat pork. Why? There was a need to inform the masses that pork was a pretty dangerous thing to eat in those days, as pork spoils very quickly at room temperature, so some reasons were concocted and written as religion. But now, there is refrigeration. Yet religion does not evolve and still pork is banned. For what reason now?

Religion is a lifestyle choice. It is for those unprepared or unwilling to challenge. It is also for the weak and easily brainwashed. It can offer comfort or a sense of tribal belonging, but no way can it offer any rational or logical explanations. Central to most religions is tribalism and that is what causes the bloodshed.

It occurred to me that the 'star' could have been a supernova event. How would we know today that such an event had occurred?

Pork is a meat-source that requires more than just careful storage. It can carry parasites that survive the cooking process, particularly if 'the cook' is not particular enough about temperatures. Therefore it is easy to see why middle-eastern countries consider the animal unclean. In this country workers in abattoirs had to provide extended health evidence and regular stool samples. I don't know if those rules have been relaxed.

If you believe that there is one God, then it does not matter whether you call him God or Allah, he is the same entity. This is the basis of the uneasy truce that exists between Christians and Moslems.

Practically if there is a God, why is there only one? (S)He would be very lonely, must have come from somewhere, ..or am I missing something? There is no logical reason why there should be only one God. In such a case the Hindus and <Japanese> are right to have numerous 'Gods'. There-from mankind and all other species are merely play things for amusement. The fact that some awful things happen around the world (currently Syria is in focus) would seem to support that there could be several 'Gods' who please themselves.

Myself, I find that any God worthy of praise and exultation would not allow the miseries which persist in our world, and therefore I question his existence.
