I have an expectation of a NSL from long term and intermediate term order flow. That's why I got short at 20979.

Thanks the suffering was only due to the amount of time it finally took the bulls to get their shit together.

100% patience and situational awareness helped me capitalize on the move. I will talk more about it in a post when I have access to my charts again.

Love it! Wow great answers everyone. Now the issue with waiting on the short term order flow to change is that while this may give you some added confluence, it often puts you in at a less favorable price cutting into the RR profile of the trade.

It's not that the prior day's highs and lows don't hold value to me. They are sometimes factored into my SD zones if price reacted favorable to it. It's a process that happens by default if you will.

As as for the pivots. I will say that institutions use it as general support and resistance areas as it's a standardized equation that is pretty universal. This too becomes incorporated into the SD zones I draw but only highlights the levels that price respected the most. It sort of happens by default again. I hope you understand what in saying.

I know these levels play a role in the decisions being made but buy only concentrating on what price has reacted to make my life easier and less complicated. Thank you for the suggestion much appreciated!

I was playing around with pitchforks a lot a month ago. And at the beginning it was fun ..but after a while I noticed that if you just draw S&D zones properly MOST (not all) of the times this things are factored in.

Very true. It's like the moving averages, It doesn't matter which one you use or what period you will always five price respect it at some point. You don't want to trade every level or trend line, you just want the ones that had the most violence. The ones that had carnage are the ones I care about. everything else is a minor lever that I use to understand based on strength and weakness if either party will try to defend the level. You all see me do this everyday.

My only trade form last night, didn't get a chance to post after the session (National Rugby League season just started).

Expectation of a NSL after a pullback into a zone of identified structure. Good rotation bar with good R:R, stopped out for a full position above the high.
