Something I find pathetic is Muslims make no bones of the fact that they are Muslim above anything else. So in UK when they are asked they always say Muslim first and foremost. So that establishes a precedent that they want to be identified in that manner. So why won't the government compile some statistics on how much they cost the NHS, how much they claim in benefits (housing, sickness, disability, unemployment) and how much they contribute in taxes. Why are they so afraid to use Muslim as a demographic ? I suspect the figures would cause meltdown and the argument for how much they enrich the country will be blown out of the water. Government are spineless and we have a right to know how much this is costing the country and enough political correct nonsense.

{quote} In the UK schooling is free up to the age of 17 ~ 19. So long as you are in school following recognised learning paths. The result of sticking with it (and achieving) up to May/June in the final school phase is that you achieve sufficient qualifications to allow you to proceed into University, if that is what you want. I believe young people can exit the school system after age 16 if they have achieved reasonable base competency but wish to follow some trade such as carpenter or mechanic; or maybe even just get a job anywhere. Not only is...

The German school system is free at all levels, including college and graduate studies. There are some differences in fees in individual countries eg. in Bavaria students
are charged €500 per semester. Universities are open to all who meet the professional requirements and have permanent residence in Germany.

And now briefly about the favorite subject of some members on your thread - muslims. The largest number of the Muslims in Germany who were permanent residents (not refugees) are Turks. Their first generation in G. is already retired and they have as well as other national groups used their privilege of our free schooling
and educated their children. Some have even finished universities.
Of course, Germany also worries about Islamization of Europe, but does not experience it so dramatically.

Thanks. Had idea how it worked, but not fully educated on the subject. Probably shouldn't have gotten as hot under collar as I got but free college and paying off student loans was a big issue in our last election. Our colleges greatly overpriced because government got involved in handing out student loans. Majority of degrees being handed out these days ain't worth a bucket of warm spit. A kid can get out of high school, go to a trade school, learn a skill and have 3-4 job offers waiting on them. Our kids are not being raised with a work and moral ethic and simply think they can get college degree of any sort and have a high paying job with expenses waiting on them. It's insanity.

We have some issues with 'degrees'. About 20 years ago (IIRC) there was a change in government funding of educational establishments, they would only support institutions called University. This led to almost all the higher education establishments renaming themselves to become Universities and issuing degrees. Some of them, such as the University of Salford (in greater Manchester) have a high reputation and produce valuable output.

This has led to the establishment of a list called the Russell Group. This list contains the old established Universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester .... there are loads. So now we have a two tier degree system ... where you obtained your degree is important. I guess the same is true in the US with places such as Yale and MIT to name just two.

It is remarkable Ross just how much of this material is out there, it isn't even clandestine, it's full on in your face and yet there are still massive swathes of society that defend and in many cases (as in the case of Sweden), actively promoting the behaviour of Islam as something to be cherished. The mind boggles at how anyone can see this stuff as the world advancing towards a better place.

Yes but I'm talking about if push comes to shove you have to deal with it. We know in many cases the police just don't want to get involved because they know the first defence is the race card and reluctant to act. In many cases their hands are tied, I have some mates who are coppers and can't wait for retirement. These guys aren't jobs worth types, they are good lads who know how to control a situation and know right from wrong, simple but they have so much crap to deal with now for transparency. In some cases it protects and some it hinders, double edge sword.

you are right people forgot how hard it is to create stable peace and by adding whole groups of people to a mix it is like playing with fire if the new people do not have the intention to integrate with us it will end bad

EX, I am going to attempt to condense our college problems: It really started during the Carter administration, got a afterburner installed during the Clinton years and had rockets attached during the Obama years. It involves a "transfer" of money from the Fed to the Colleges (read teachers unions) who vote solidly democrat. Because to the outrageous student loan program the colleges charge more, over pay professors and give them tenure. In turn the colleges turn out totally leftist indoctrinated students with worthless degrees, who can't think for themselves. Many end up living with their parents, can't get a job -- and vote democrat. It's a vicious cycle. The Trump administration is working on the problem. One of the reasons the democrats are unhinged. They see 100 years of slow "progress" being attacked.

am not to sure we are going to need more evidence as it's too hard to know who to believe because i see no reason for the Swedish government to lie but am the same time (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4269576/KATIE-HOPKINS-reports-Scandi-lib-paradise-Sweden.html) it just so confusing someone has to be a dirty little liar here
