My thoughts on usd/cad 3030 (why I didnt publish the level): I was thinking about it but there were 2 reasons why I didn't take the trade: 1. Weak volume (not a quick and strong rejection of lower prices, 2. Volume (on futures) was mostly at the low of the day - I thought that it was more probable that the price would shoot through it. No hard rule there, just discretion. It is not a bad level but Iam a bit cautious on USD/CAD now (lowest winning % recently).

EU +10

AU reaching the level. I have been short on AU since 7705. Will flip at your level

{quote} morning guys, I've also taken this trade as the level has a lot of weight behind it, however it isn't based on new volumes as that level hasn't been challenged since it was first posted, the reason for the slight change is likely to be the slight change in the difference between the price of the futures contract and the spot market. I'll actually add to this trade at 1.0645, but my stop is 20 rather than 12 pips away

{quote} Have taken eu short since the levels that dale gave is based on new volume data so assuming it to be valid. Let's see.

The 1.064 EU level got tested (1.06374 on my platform) at 09:10 GMT which was AFTER Dale posted it - no?
So technically it was against the rules to trade - am I missing something here?
Always look for reasons not to take a trade

I did consider it tested as well.
Someone decided to take the second test though.

this testing thing is actually very subjective. It really depends on situation. I considered it tested also and did not take it because i was simultaneously watching other euro pairs and my gut told me to cancel the order.

{quote} Was thinking the same thing at first but PA on the lower TF was showing some support. In this case it worked out, however there are times it does not. As it has been said "A blind mouse finds a piece of cheese everyone once in awhile" . As a side note took 1/2 off at +10 moved stops to b/e with 2nd target at 1.3053.

2nd target hit +23. "Food for thought", in the future for those that take +10 and exit completely, may want to think having some runners aim for the current day's POC as a 2nd target (many times acts as a magnet). This can be a great way to take some more meat off the bone and to make up for levels that stop us out.

I will say this about Trump, he is starting to ease a bit in his tweets or knowns what he says can have ramification in the financial markets. I know for myself trading today am seeing follow through in many of my trades since he has been elected. Hopefully things will get back in the normal flow of things.

I agree with this in principle. The devil is in the details on how to manage them , especially for those using Sevans
EA to enter and manage. There is no provision for partial profits and then trail.
The other portion of this that needs to be researched thoroughly for each individual is how this affects their overall risk profile in terms of the ones that do not reach TP at all and instead go straight to SL...the added risk needs to be taken into account.

With all of that said, I think your basic premise is good and should be considered.
