Disliked{quote} Hi USCGamecocks, First, thank you for being a client of FXCM US. While part of our settlement with the NFA and CFTC was to close our US subsidiary, there will be no changes for clients outside of the US. That means, you can continue to use the indicators you have on your Marketscope charts.Ignored

DislikedFXCM delivered great execution (I think better than any competitor), great spreads, great software and free or almost free indicators, and lots of free education. And they fairly reviewed a number of my trades and quite surprisingly refunded me a number of times. I had no complaints about the company. And I have no problem if the company made some money taking the opposite side of a few of my errant trades. It is also clear FXCM was not routinely holding positions opposite its traders (otherwise the SNB event would not have required a rescue loan...Ignored
DislikedNow, on to what I originally wanted to say. Your response to USCGamecocks was doublespeak. You acknowledged that he is client of FXCM US, but then went on to say "...there will be no changes for clients outside of the US. That means, you can continue to use the indicators you have on your Marketscope charts." His profile also says he is US based. As a US citizen, he will not be able to continue being an FXCM client. You never answered his question! I am in the same "boat" as USGamecocks. I also have a few really useful indicators (purchased or acquired...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Hi Mr. Breakout, I know you are saying that I can still use Marketscope in a demo account and that would be great if I can. But I still have not been told that I can do that from the horses mouth (Jason Rodgers). If so I would need to open a demo account as I do not currently have one.Ignored
Disliked{quote} So Jason...will I be able to or not as a US trader have access to the Marketscope platform in some fashion?Ignored
Disliked... you can continue to use the Marketscope chart indicators ...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks, I don't post too often, its true trading is best when bored. I'm sure Ronald is busy with his own devices, still one of the best imo. I know he and others had proposed setting up offshore entities, taking a paycheck from the entities, and opening fx accounts with reputable brokers off shore (e.g., lmax and duk), all legal and legit. I am looking at this too. It might be a better route than switching to currency futures for me, primarily because I have so much time and cash invested in mt4. I may give Oanda a try (never thought I...Ignored
DislikedIG Group is getting FXCMs business in the US and paying them $500 per client account with some conditions applied. That deal was finalized almost immediately after the NFA banned FXCM. I assume the employees wont also be moving in as well?Ignored
DislikedA senior industry figure in North America this morning explained to FinanceFeeds In the end it is just the CFTC & NFA witch hunt against the industry in my view. GAIN & Oanda are last standing but the CME will win in the end and those guys will have to be an exchange soon or send the business to the CME. Never underestimate the power of the Chicago derivatives industry!Ignored
Dislikedlooks like FXCM is gonna break the all time World Guinness Record as the most banned and fined broker of all timesIgnored
Disliked{quote} LOL I didn't know The Guinness Organization keeps a record in that category. I feel so sorry for Drew Niv and his family right now. He must be feeling like "when it rains it pours" right now, the poor guy. Would be interested to read his memoire if he ever wants to write one to find out what really happened from his point of view. Would probably make a good movie too. We all know how well financial movies sell. It's about time that somebody makes a movie about us retail FX.Ignored
