After being a lurker for years on FF this thread made me join. And this is my first post.

Unloaded my position on AC for 177 pips after the news spike down on CAD because I am a bit over exposed. Still building a postion on AN.

Attached is an indicator I coded for my own use. It displays the usual TDI angles for the candle you click. After a time out the values disappear. I find it useful in backtesting. The indicator does not need any other indicators.

Hi Fx, I did do that sort of thing at one time, I don't do it now, but it helped me focus to be aware of how I am with myself and now I am aware when I come to trade. I still take notes of trades like Location , Atr, News, Time of day, Price action etc and keep a picture record of trades good or bad.

HI Guys don't have much time.Closed my AC trades and looks like rebounded where I entered.
Leaving it alone for now. Got some DD on AN crazy Aussie drive is unprecedented.Will hold this for next week.There is got to be a correction for over 330pip drive north.
Got DD on AJ as well but lot smaller. Overall did well for the week but DD trades are tarnishing the shine.Got to take good with the bad and look at the bigger picture.

For new Traders welcome! If you do your work you will do well.Not going to hit every trade and its absurd to assume that but you will hit more then miss.

I'm holding long EA for next week, on 5% drawdown on ea longs ,what a crazy strong aussie (knuckle head bastard)

Much the same position but beginning to show some light will add more shorts next week if continues south

487 pips may look bad but on the week I have banked 923 pips so I am happy with that and will cut the grass play golf have few beers and a glass of wine or 2 f relax and prepare for next week . Best system ever. Have a safe weekend and see you all next week

Funny you mention golf, I got this email from Nick Radge regarding trading/investing:

They certainly weren't physics students. They seemed to be adamant that the harder they swung the club, the further the ball would travel. When this theory didn't achieve the desired results they tossed out a few expletives in some unknown dialect and let fly with another cruel and violent swipe at the ball.

Clearly the students didn't understand what the 'sweet spot' was designed for. The sweet spot delivers the most energy to the ball in order to launch it farther and straighter.
A mild and measured half swing delivered with minimal effort will send a golf ball a lot straighter and a lot further than a fully fledged assault.
Trading and investing is similar.
The harder you try, the worse off you generally are.
Watching the screen all day, desperately willing your portfolio higher, hopping in and out like a whack-a-mole day trader or silently praying to the market gods is not about being in the sweet spot.
They call Ernie Els The Big Easy because he's big and he swings it easy. His career results are a testament to finding the sweet spot.
As your trading caddy I recommend the same.

Found it quite timely, as I have noticed patience and over trading seem to be my biggest forex enemies. I look forward to the point I can trade at the lot size you've got on your charts, 923 pips at that would be nearly what I earn in a month from my full time job! Expect it's quite some time away yet, but the future hold untold possibilities.

I have to admit that they have been my greatest enemies too but I have been trying very hard to curtail both. The only advantage of been old is that the kids are raised the house paid off so I have no great overheads which gives me a little extra in my account. Keep following Davits method and you will get there. Have you read the New Psycho cybernetics.

I haven't yet, I'm about halfway through the books posted as Davit's philosophy. I'm gradually making my way through the list from the first post. At the end of the day, my belief is that trading is a path to mastery of self. There are many ways, some get there through spirituality, some through other means, but the end result is that you master yourself, facing the beliefs that that keep you from being the best you you can be.
That trading can make you a living to boot is just a bonus, the real prize is the investment in yourself.

All it does is tell the number of pips up/down the price has moved over the different time frames if you would like it send me your email and I will send it to you Will not post it here as it is not one of Davits

This pip counter indicator has no bearing or conflict with Davits strategy. It is an information tool. So you may post it here. I am sure Davits would not mind it.

Hi Davit, has your views on EURAUD changed going into next week as we expect weaker Euro date and somewhat stronger data from China, also considering the dovish comment on the exchange rate from the Central Bank

"The outlook continues to be supported by the low level of interest rates. Financial institutions remain in a position to lend. The depreciation of the exchange rate since 2013 has also assisted the economy in its transition following the mining investment boom. An appreciating exchange rate would complicate this adjustment"
