Can you trade sideway market safely or just the trending movement inside the box?

A quick post I've taken from my journal, it's just to show the relevance of the core of the J16 'method' (it's free to learn and I still believe after 10 years using it that using it alone will make you a successful trader), there's no need to make things difficult. I don't add a lot of waffle to my charts (usually) I think it's more helpful for people new to the method to look at what the chart and the lines on it are saying (not saying my charts are always right, far from it!)

Been following NZDCAD for few weeks now, is time to go short?

Significant BEOVB and DBHLC at a resistance

NZDCAD 30 minute chart. Personally I'd want to see a move out of this area or PA at the top or bottom, there are other levels on smaller timeframes though.

Anyone taken the Daily pinbar on GBPUSD? or the 12 Hour pinbar?

I would play the break of the bar and not try to get any retracement pips. Strong daily beob on 2/2 and almost a wbeob last week. The last 12hr buob/pin is kinda being rejected.

Its never safe enough lol, but trading when market is trending is kinda more safe and easier. Bad thing is most of the time market moves sideways, so you better learn trade in that situations. You will need it in a long run. Better jet, its a must, to survive this game!

It is hard for me to learn such complicated systems

Hey Tony. The most complicated system here is the human being - me and you. The trading method here is pretty simple, but for me, i find the hardest part is staying out of average trades. Trades that i already know are average and i shouldn't be in them. Why do i still enter a trade in the middle of the chart, or with poor PA? Because i like the thrill of being in a trade. Dangerous thinking. But i'm aware of it, and working on my discipline. I reckon if i trade with a bigger account, that might actually sort this out. Why? because i already know what to do. p.S. In general a small account is probably best to start with. Anyway, good luck friend Tony. GB

Pin on ESIO, Nasdaq, daily chart (9 months). Seeing a decent pin off some good S/R, but it's fighting a strong bearish outside bar from the day before. Could go either way but looking for it to go to the next strong S/R up around 7.0.
