Not so. The roads in the UK are for all users. They may be freely used (motorways excluded) by people on horseback, pedestrians, cyclists, and of course motorised vehicles. The town is the birthplace of the English Defence League (EDL) which was born out of a public display of disunity in the town. An East Anglian infantry regiment returned home after a tour in Afghanistan and paraded through Luton. They were met with a mob chanting uncharitable things about the British Army. The mob seem unaware of a basic fact, when you are a soldier you do what the officers tell you to do; or court-martial. Also the regiment had been sent abroad by the British Government as part of the fight against drugs etc. A group of white British indigenous natives were so incensed by the behaviour that the EDL was formed.

The EDL later disbanded when a number of radical extremists from the National Front attached themselves to the movement with (maybe) undesirable consequences.

edit: apparently the founders of the EDL were not all white ...

It is unlikely that in the USA muslims will block a street without a permit. And even so they had better have a reason to be aggrieved. Thank you for the education Exodus. I am seeing this through American eyes, and it does make a difference. For me in the video they are clearly breaking the law. Keep me informed when I am misinterpreting things.

On the conspiracy side? you make your own mind up about that, but do some real research as to what is really going on in Europe regrading the Religion of Peace. You ask the questions - Where are the Police? Why don't your citizens hold your lawmakers accountable? which I found strange as your first reaction. My first reaction to the info was - How can the followers of any religion believe that this is acceptable, why are the leaders of their religion not out in force decrying this barbaric behaviour? Why is it that their migrant community has said and done nothing to prevent this? I might then go on to ask the other questions.

As to the question regarding the authorities. We live in the EU where the ECHR reigns supreme. It is a clueless, way left of centre, liberal court which ties the hands of the national and local authorities. The followers of the religion of peace are now a whole new special class of victims, whose culture needs to be protected apparently. So on the one hand we have an inept EU and its legal and clueless ECHR and on the other we have a religious movement along with its disgusting cultural behaviour, a new victimhood, in need of protection. In the middle you have the ordinary citizens and tax payers who rank second when it comes to protection.

This sh1t goes on on a daily basis in Europe, so is it any wonder there is a reaction against it?

I reject the blanket view of Islam as violent. If you look at just raw numbers there are 2billion muslims on the planet. 1 percent of this number is 20 million. So a few 100 or even a few 1000 bad apples does not begin to represent the religion. That would be like me holding Christianity accountable for the KKK and being the source of both world wars. Obviously that is a ridiculous claim. I was not aware that the member states of the EU do not have the authority to police their own lands. Is that really true? Does the EU also control the political process in those member states? At first glance it looks like some parts of the population of some of those members states are looking for someone or something to blame. Again, I am an American and I see things a bit differently than you might, so keep it simple for me.

Firstly, I didn't put forward that blanket view, that was your suggestion alone. My point was that Islam is not taking responsibility for its followers and is doing almost nothing to stem this disgusting behaviour. My understanding is that there are 1.2bn followers and it is a widely accepted belief in the intelligence world that between 15% and 25% have radical beliefs and leanings. As to the last part of your comment, YES the EU does have ultimate legal and political jurisdiction over all EU member nations, and these criminals, rapists and all manner of undesirable use this to prevent deportation, I sh1t you not.

To try and keep it simple is impossible, as the core of the issue is the EU's Lisbon Treaty, which most of the EU electorate are clueless about, but so too are the European politicians. Anything I say in here, would I believe, be considered by you to be anti islam and right wing, and I get that. There will be no substitute for your own research. We witness this stuff on a daily basis. You might think that our views are anti this or that, that is you prerogative, but for us it is an honest reaction to diabolical behaviour in the name of a religion

JMN5611 Obviously not every apple is rotten but here lies the issue. If there are so many moderate and peace loving muslims why can't they control the smaller radical group ? I say it is because they either are gripped by fear or ultimately their allegiance is to Islam. Neither is acceptable.

We know that a greater number of one group can alter the behaviour of another in normal circumstancs. For example if you have one person in a community of say 50 people who persistently causes trouble for the rest, stealing, raping or whatever. The larger group can alter that persons behaviour by force or by representation alone in most cases. Most people know their limits in a numbers game. So on that basis why don't so many good apples alter the behaviour of the bad apples ?

Now perhaps you understand the Brexit vote. For me the whole propaganda pre-amble which lasted at least 6 weeks was totally unnecessary and a waste of resource. The emergency exit route was revealed and I along with a majority of others took it. The rest of the theatrics revealed the travesty of our political system, and time will show the accuracy of the various assertions.

I watched over the preceding years as various miscreants abused the system for their own purposes. Particularly a man (IIRC a cleric by the name Abu Hamsa) who was an activist causing discontent, at the least, in our society could not be expelled because of legal loop-holes embodied in the ECHR machinery.

Even muslims are in fear of the very real violence which is at the core of islam. Mainstream Islamic law stipulates detailed regulations for the use of violence, including the use of violence within the family or household, the use of corporal or capital punishment, as well as how, when and against whom to wage war.

Yes Dev that is what I am trying to illustrate. 50 people can overpower 1 person everyone knows it. So how powerful is the grip when such vast numbers can't control the few. This is an area that I have trouble with and is why I am sceptical about the numbers. I think the radical aspect is much larger than is portrayed or the sheer number would easily overcome the monster.

So we have highlighted the issues but how to remedy ?

I have said openly here I don't think Islam fits and ship 'em all out but obviously this wouldn't fly for a number of reasons.

I think a good start is to deport
All non national muslim population of prison.
All non national unskilled muslim population.
All non national muslim population who are on longterm disability benefits/housing benefit/long term unemployed.
Anyone who solicits or promotes violence towards non muslims. ( Holding banners saying kill infidels etc )
Anyone who refuses to accept British Laws and say they will only abide by Sharia.

The issue is not about whites versus Muslims. It is about British people of all races being very pissed off with Muslims of all races, including white Muslims. We let them into our country, give them money (more than anywhere else in the world), give them a home, educate their kids, give them free healthcare and they are in a free country to pursue whatever they wish and voice their opinions. What do we get in return? No gratitude, just pure hatred. Look at that video of the woman in Luton that Stu posted. She is abused and is called a slut for wearing normal clothes; she is told she will go to hell because she is not a Muslim and they are chanting "British Police go to hell." In their view, anyone who is not a Muslim will burn in hell. Listen to the conversation: the guy said he would only respect the law of the land if it is Sharia Law. Their mission is to make the UK a Muslim country, with Sharia Law throughout.

So, we attempt to fight back, albeit quite pathetically in my view, and we get called xenophobic, racist, Islamophobic etc.

Take a look at this video. Around the middle of it, there is a Hungarian lorry driver. His commentary driving to Calais is absolutely classic. I drive that route a number of times a year and I have seen exactly what you see in the video, except I have 2 kids in the car (age 5 and 8). The illegals throw missiles, launch themselves at your car and set fires in the road to try and make you stop. But luckily things have improved there recently as the French authorities finally bulldozed the Jungle. That's how desperate they are to get into the UK. They have little respect for their own lives, never mind yours.

Incidentally, that is one big reason, why I will never have a self driving car! I don't stop.

Side note I always use Newhaven - Diepe far less hassle.

What is also very clear is how many young, fit fighting age men. The term "Refugee" is grossly abused.

Yes, most of us are not aware that the EU was anything more than a trading zone. If that is the case then I expect the Euro to collapse at some point.

It has nothing to do with being white - this sounds like ban bait.

I don't recall any ever saying anything about the colour of another person skin in a derogatory way, or simply about where they are from - ever.

So why on earth are you talking about it? Drop the white crap.

I have to say that I think some of the reluctance is the global perception of the west as an abusive imperial power. Remember that there are people still alive that remember the CIA driven Iranian coup and some parts of the world experience Neo-colonialism and all that comes with it today. I think moderate muslims are a bit passive aggressive on that score.

Depends where you are in the country. Dover - Calais is just convenient with crossings every 20 mins or so and is 1:45 vs 4-6 hours. South coast and you only get one or two a day. Though I use the tunnel more now; that's only 35 mins and takes you further down past Calais.
