I find that the cross of TDI is a good signal and I use it mostly for confirmation whenever I have a doubt on my entries. I believe it can be use for an entry signal by itself. There are a few strategies based on that indicator (trade made simple, TMS for M30 charts).

Looks like a good setup, but when we look at the higher TF, we see one of those levels that become resistance after being support. I will pass on this one even if it goes through the resistance.

Hi,
I trade a very similar system to this on m15 but I retain the use of OSMA and stochastic, although I use only OSMA for divergance. If the stochastic is lined up too,then great but if not it is really for entry.. Out of curiosity do you find the 5,8,2 MACD to be more reliable?

Hi,

I find the 5,8,2 MACD lines easier to read than the OSMA histogram. The settings I use gives results very similar to he OSMA settings suggested by the author of this thread. It's a matter of personal choice.

Hi Vital,

Before entering, have a look at daily and weekly charts. It doesn't mean that you will not get some pips, but I personally prefer going in the direction of higher TF.

What do you think about this way: if D1 and W1 do not go to the same direction with H4- use R/R 1:1; if all timeframes (H4,D1,W1) show same direction- use R/R 1:2 or Fibo expansion.

Sounds reasonable. I prefer not entering when not in sync with higher TF and waiting for better odds.

First I want to thank everyone. You have done a great works here! I have a some experiences FX with different results. A few years ago I traded with similar system on based HD. Now I get back on market and try again. Now I am thinking I'm more patient and disciplined. I hope you are very well Sorry for my poor english

As per the original rules I don't think you would have entered yet. I think you should wait for a break of the red line(Tenkan-sen?). Also a trendline break coming down from the top, although I think that would have been broken with the bullish candle before price drops off. Price is now within the cloud so not sure about the validity.
I'm sure Dany or Chamane will put us right.
I'm currently using a different entry system but having second thoughts now as the red line would have really helped filter here.
Here is a stochastic divergence indicator that may be useful. It has not got a signal on screen but is visually easy to assess. My settings are 89-3-3.

I might add that there is a cross of Tenkan down the Kijun. And with price in the cloud, I wouldn't be surprised if that means a change of direction. There is still some room until it reaches the major trendline (see 4hr chart), but it is clear for me to wait before entering long. Right now, price is at a major resistance level on the weekly chart.

Personally, I prefer bringing the pattern in a chart where I get rid of noise as much as I can. On the 1HR chart, there is a HD pattern, but too much noise to my taste. It is more clear on the 4HR chart and what I see is not a typical HD pattern.
