About upcoming pit session, note that yesterday pit low tagged at the pip the all time pit low at 2037 (made during 11.01.17 pit session). So it is extremely weak. Carry this informatin forward.

Very nice....I really start to like the MarketProfile. Today I made a trade with the MarketProfile as basis (combined with my HEW analyze).
It worked very well....up-to the 1.2161 (GB-session low at 13/01) and I closed the trade.

When price dropped back and left an excess (for now) I started a sell (at 1.2165). Again based on MarketProfile and my HEW analyse. Let's see how this is developing today....

It seems that the MarketProfile can validate my HEW-analyse and with that it can give me more confidence in trade decisions.

Anyway I'm still learning and learning.... but it really make fun to see if price is starting to turn around at the moment you can/could expect
You can manage risk, but you can't manage the return

17/01/17 TUESDAY 10:45 +1GMT MORNING REPORT .... Also in this action I see a lot of emotion. So now we have to monitor for continuation upside and if GB will not be able to obtain acceptation back inside Friday GB range (low at 2160) we have to consider the possibility of a substantial correction of what we have seen up to now......

Remember that for now we are against the two major trend that are both downside. Note also that price is currently at the upper major composite poc 2163 that as normally in these situations, will tend to attract price. And we are before a mojor news event. Finally take note of the fact that we left downside two back to back GB poor lows (today at 2113 and yesterday at 2018) and we still do not have a "good" all time low.
Ignored
As you see after the failed acceptation back inside Friday GB range price retraced completely all the initial action upside.

Happy about that. In the future you will appreciate the fact that the market profile embeds all the information you need and you will probably continue using only what you know about market and the market profile tool in order to organize market generated information. Best. L.

Well, thanks a lot for your appreciation. You are welcome. Consider that taking our own narrative of what is going on in the market is a fundamental aspect of our own praparation. So this approach is helping me substantially and I suggest anyone here to do the same: write down what you think about current market situation. Always*. Best L.

*It should not be a book. Some precise notes about trends, values, references will be enough. Like the ones I made in this thread.

F inside E. Possible break from here. But we are close to the composite poc so watch out because we need volume to evade it.

The purpose of my engagement into the subject was a simple one, it was a question that many traders asked, " why did price turn here". So I started my journey and it led me to this subject which is by far the most consistent method of finding some sort of answer. Interest at certain price point, sentiment, current trend and perception of value are all wrapped up in this type of analysis. Use of standard analytical tools i.e., Fibonacci are useful in some respect but does not encompasses my 5 pillars of what a trading method should have. Anyway, that is it for me until Mrs May shed some light on Brexit ( I do so hate that phrase).

And here we are at the top of Friday GB session (22322) after the acceptation back inside its range. Note the huge efforts to evade the composite poc as expected. note also that we broke above the inside period F.

Note 2 things here: we got the upper composite poc at 2233 and we didn't take out the triple pass GB gap up to 2248. Also note the elongation of H period.

and again...the MarketProfile warned me that my current HEW view was possibly wrong.... instead of a down-move it hinted for a possible Expanded flat. And so MarketProfile put me in the right direction

Well I do not put HEW counts in this thread but I just wanted to say that it helped me to cut of a wrong trade down (in time) and hinted for the other direction.... when it breaked I took advantage of it.

Well as you understand MarketProfile is the way t go for me!

In the USDX is trying to fill a 3 pass gap left downside. As cable is at the same time filling its own triple pass gap with volume. I'll be off for a while. Have a nice continuation. Best L.

So we got a huge spike in this 2 last periods and we are close to the 7 days bracket high at 23162 (last week high). A place where we could find bigger timeframes as mid term ones.

The most important thing for now is that we interrupted again (2nd time) the weekly one timeframing lower and we went back inside the monthly balance. Now we have to see if we will have a reaction of the bigger timeframes or not. Consider that we have no completion of the daily auction downside but we currently have a considerable excess downside in the bigger scale. let's see wher it is goin to close this evening. Note that preUS is going to open with a big gap upside from yesterday pit high at 22242.

Some interesting levels for upcoming pit session could be below current price location:

  1. 23046 US daily bracket high (pre US high of 12.01).
  2. 23013 18.11.16 higher daily bracket pit low.
  3. 22886 new year pit open.
  4. 22242 yesterday pit high.

Above:

  1. 23434 2016 pit close
  2. 23538 preUS daily bracket high (02.11.16).
  3. 23623 pit weekly balance low.
  4. 2433 pit new year high.
