Weekly Trend finding

Hi people, I just wanted to share some indicators that I found on the internet.
This is not a trading system so you can just use the indicators to find the trend that's what I plan on doing.

I will post the weekly and the daily chart of a trade that I took based on the indicators. This is a demo trade. It went about 125 pips in profit. I am only showing you 1 pair 1 chart but I also used these indis to take other demo trades and they were successful as well.

But like I said you could use it however you like.

I will post the indicators as well I just cant find the original zip file so I have to gather them 1 by 1

First I looked at the weekly chart to confirm the price is below all the MA's and the stoch has already crossed down from overbought.
second I looked at the daily to see that the price is below the weekly pivot and the 10MA and the snake has turned red. And I took the trade.
You can set your sl as you like tp as you like. But this is a long term for me so just leave it running for now.

These are not rules that are concrete I just made them up but it is a good way to see long term trend for me.

Ok here are the indis and the temp.

Be very cautious with the Snake indicator if you trade LIVE. That's an old well known repainting indicator. It redraws continuously and very heavily many candles back.

I actually didn't even consider the snake indi but later saw that it was red.

I think we could identify the trend without the snake.

Ferrux since you got involved I have a question about ATR indicator.

Is there an ATR indicator that leaves out the news? Meaning the indi does not take into account the bars that were formed as a result of the news.
Lets say the we are using ATR 6 on a weekly chart and the atr is usually around 400 pips but there is a news spike and the atr goes to 2000 pips all of a sudden. That will throw u off if you are trying to figure out tp and sl.
The reason I'm asking is I want to try and figure out the atr for a whole year without the effect of the major news. This way I can trade during no news or weak news hours. I believe my tp and sl would be more on target don't you think?

I don't know such indicator.

Achieving this would need the exact dates and times for all major news you want to be taken in consideration ... and include them as a filter in the ATR calculation.

Thanks for sharing this. It is very important to be updated. Because if you don't know the weekly trends of the market and then trade against them, it will cause failure. Thanks once again.
