Took a short on the AUDUSD 233 tick. My HL was an area were price did attempt to correct, so I could not ignore it. Once price made a NSL, it made it with some pretty good momentum to the downside. A pullback into my area of structure was pretty much spot on. I missed the first red candle, but got in on the second red candle at a little bit better of price. Now wait and see what happens.

Not filled at up arrow. Key PA in box. Retrace anywhere near the red arrow was good entry. Coming back now. See what happens.

I went short on YM, but trailed too aggressively. Out for +3

I do not have a clear picture of this PA: Long term expectation is a NSH, medium term expectation is a NSH and immediate PA is shallow NSL.

looking to see if price has enough energy to make a new high today, or if it will be profit taking

zooming in I think it will be deciding on this recent swing let me know thoughts

lets see if it can reach the 161.8
as it is friday this is a long shot

take profit modified, rethinking, i needed a better entry point.

Collapsed risk, out with -5 didn't like price action and price compression, marked in pink. may take another long if PA shows near fib level.

looks like 38.2 may hold momentarily.

GM Traders,

I'm sorry I've been Mia for the last few days. I will be on from Monday on consistently Switch over the the 3-17 contract on the YM you will find much better price action. I was not able to to trade today but I will make up for lost time on Monday and on. Remember the live stream on the 15 Thursday.

I was falling asleep sitting in the chair, so I moved my SL to BE +5 and woke up to being taken out.

I guess I need to enter a bit sooner. Anyway was never filled and too bad. Price never looked back. The PA was beautiful.

Hope all is doing well. I have been a stray puppy for awhile but I am back. I have moved out of spot and over to futures(still moving). It has been a learning curve this weekend with learning a new platform and which pair to trade. I would like to trade YM but trade time 9:33-11 am does not work as I still have a job. I am looking at 6E during london 3am-5:30pm. My goal has been to find high volume times to trade. I am tired of fighting. Any help would be great in this regard. My live account will not be funded until 1st Jan as I want to paper trade and understand ninja platform. As it stands 6E is 12.50/tick versus YM 5/tick. I did not get the lease so I have to use superDOM which I hate so far. I love ATM but can't afford yet. Anyway, when I post the ninja trades they are not real.

I need everyone's help with the transition in futures with best time, best pair. Thanks

British pound futures are about 6.25/tick if I recall. Another option. However honestly forex futures pretty much mirror spot forex. The difference may just be in order execution.

Early Sunday PA on AU spot forex. I know spot forex is frowned upon here but I just want to point out some price action that I find helpful for entries. I believe every bar or candle is important. Some more than others. When I enter a market I do so very specifically.

1 is end of Friday. It is a strong bear candle and is followed by a gap down. At this point I am unconcerned with entry and just observing price. At 2 price tests the area of 1 with a pretty bullish candle but is unable to break above a resistance at the rectangle. At 3 price breaks below the bullish candle with a bearish candle at 2 but then moves up engulfing the bearish candle at 3. At 4 price breaks above the bearish candle at 3 and this is the first sign that price may definitively move upwards. There is a dip in price and then price moves up.

I wish I could explain this PA better. IMHO understanding PA at this level is crucial for accurate entries.

Few things to consider:
1-Yen futures will be a bit more active @ 7 PM your time as Asian(Tokyo) trading session in forex begins.

2-Might want to check the micro-futures for euro(M6E). Just $1.25/tick compared to $12.50/tick for full size. I haven't traded them for a few years but heard the volume is getting better. Other micro-futures(including gold) available but check volume first.

3-Although some futures contracts have different $$/tick, just be aware that the contracts with a smaller $$/tick will usually have larger ticks/day movement. For example, ES is $12.50/tick & YM is $5/tick. But if both move 1% in a day, your profit/loss will be nearly the same regardless of which one you chose.

4-I use chart-trader rather than DOM with Ninjatrader but maybe you don't get that without a lease??

On your chart, is that a bearish gartley pattern?
