Fhn, I've been on this forum a while, seen many posters come and go. I've never heard of you. Jfan posts charts with lines, you either agree or disagree, dont rage, its good to see a variety of views from techincal and fundamental.
If you dont agree with him- do not reply. just ignore

What i dislike is you coming on an brag about your million without posting your own strategy or thoughts for this pair. Go away or contribute.

I take the strategy of iron ore and its influence on the pair. its reaching new highs again and the 100pip rise coincides with the lift in ore. Ore is very spikey at these higher levels and we might see some sharp corrections down which could be seen on the aud. i expect this to coincide with the us rate rate which would also reflect what jfrancis is proposing.

We have one guy claiming millionaire status that can't do analysis and another one that thinks he knows fibs but can't even place them correctly.

Hey man, i didn't brag about anything..if you read what i wrote you would see me saying that i don't know anyone here and no one knows me as well..so there is no point of bragging..right??? Unless some of you geeks here have some personality disorders and insecure and need people's attention..but not me....

Unless we are now in a forum called Red Alert then you can keep you suggestions and opinion to yourself..What contribution is that to tell us the price of Iron ore?? And no, i am not here to contribute as no need to waste time teaching methods to people like JF or maybe you..i am here to observe the overall mood and thats one of my strategies whether you like it or not..i hate people trying to be heroes behind their laptop screens

What jfrancis does is insult and degrade people with different opinions and views of the market. He is only copying what he pays for at the site he has subscribed to which, can only be used for educational purposes only as stated on the site.

Your system of trading by going the opposite direction to everyone else is a good system and it works. I have often gone on the major broker sites too look for the client sentiment and funny enough when they are all long price goes short then the herd switches goes short and then price goes long. Its quite amusing watching it.

Jfrancis, I'm with you on this.

Firstly, PaulDaemon, if you want to find out how high your candle will go, you should be using an extended Fibo instead of retracement Fibo.
As for Fhn2557, we are here to work on strategies to make money. move on buddy.

in short, what we don't like is @Jfrancis' arrogance and insistence that HIS ideas and theories are the ONLY way to go. and along the way, discrediting everyone else's opinion and commentary. it's disruptive to the otherwise peaceful exchanges on this thread.

it's not that others don't bother posting their own charts or whatever (well, i do post charts once every few days or when the horizon has changed substantially - you can see my posts record) - - - on the other hand, posting and sharing many charts doesn't make you honorable...especially not when you do it for the purpose of forcing others to agree with your view ONLY.

what other participants here have also been trying to point out is that it IS and has ALWAYS been risky if you were to believe in and trade by only ONE technical indicator. you may think you're very smart now, but one day you'll get burnt. So what if your 5th wave leads into a downtrend. how high will your 4th corrective wave go before it turns down? trading has always been about using the a combination of tools - both technical and fundamental - to plan and manage your trades to reduce risk.

this is all i will say with regards to this fella.

Yes mate this method works. Maybe with some limitation when you are trading forex as its a global currency so it is difficult to have most people move in one direction, but definitely it works with shares...i have put all my money in emerging market's stocks where there are no fundementals and basically there are a few 'whales' and sometimes the country's government move prices up and down as they see best..and the poor scene is when you see all these people buying and the next thing it goes down or the opposite...

The problem nowadays the name "trader" and "analyst" is very easily distributed on people.. so you go and read an article or subscribe to a website and come here to copy +paste..and then some falks consider these characters as actual traders..lol

I'm not subscribed to any service. Never have. All sites offering subscriptions will say it's for educational purposes only. They obviously don't want to be reliable for your bad trades.

I referred to that site because they have good literature on corrective patterns. Other sites also have good info. I just happened to select that one.

And fundamentals are good when looking at it in hignsight. That's when fundamental traders say "well this move happened because of this event" but they weren't in it because there is no way in predicting what effect news will have on a pair

actually, i did learn that it's a strategy too. as the market rises, build short positions. it's in anticipation for a reversal/correction. so you'll see the majority of traders in "sell" whilst the market keeps climbing. after all, the real money moves the market and these retail traders account for barely any size.
seems to be a very common strategy especially on pairs like this A/U which have good fundamental reasons for extended two-way moves. sounds risky, but if the right leverage is used, the R:R is indeed potentially good. the sellers probably have a stop above the year's high at 7834 or something.

Like I said all fundamentals are good for is looking in the past to try and explain why a big decline or increase happened

In short when AU continues to the downside and my analysis proves to be correct again you're still going to think I'm cocky and arrogant. But I don't care buddy. I'm not here to baby anyone. I'm here to give a sense of direction in the markets and providing trading opportunities.

and in that light, for example, if the RBA were to suddenly suggest a rate increase at their next meeting, you can well be assured that the AUD will not obey wave theory; it will most likely climb rapidly over a week. are you going to wait until you've burnt your whole account first, then look back after that and say it's the fundamentals that drove it up? or are you going to identify the change in fundamentals and look for that to lead the market up?

I am really starting to believe you are incapable of doing anything at this point. Don't let your hatred for me blind you. You can believe and be so certain that fundamentals drove the USD up all you want.

I just posted the analysis on USD that I made 10 months ago and then showed exactly how it played out. And no I didnt care one bit about any countries economical status.

This is the power of technical analysis. Believe what you want ppl but I provide facts. Your just trying to defend yourself
