hey guys, i've found this script to count martingale risks. the input is in Indonesian but easily translated though. LotAwal=FirstLot. Pengali=LotMultiplier.

*make sure that you edit the delay (milliseconds) lower, maybe to 20. otherwise will wait long time to count.

the result will only provide something like this; Lot selanjutnya (next lot)= 3.21 || Total Lot = 17.76".
Now, i'm wondering if anybody could add another input in this script so that we could know possible floating loss in $US at certain martingale level, for certain pairs. So, we might need another input such as grid size in pips or points.


So, by putting (example); Max order : 14, LotAwal (first lot) : 0.3, Pengali (lot multiplier) : 1.5, grid size : 5 pips or 50 points,

we could estimate the possible floating loss in US$ at that 14th martingale level by 5 pips step.

That would be great. Thank you guys. I need this to use with the martingale EA.

I have created excel sheet for counting floating loss. You fill only fill gaps and volume. Im now trying to coung margin to fill it in last colum.

Here is how my system works

1. buy at 1.3510 0,01 ?
2. buy at 1.3520 0,01
3. buy at 1.3530 0,02
4. buy at 1.3550 0,03
5. buy at 1.3570 0,05

Do you know how to count formula from some weighted average after this move and rising volume. I need to put in my excel.

i am sorry, but are you sure your "pips to BE" calculated correctly?
with a semi-martingale like approach, i would assume the pips to BE keep getting larger, even if lot progression change a bit.
(full martingale should keep that pips to BE number at an even value if grid spacing is even.)
for me, that 0.4-0.5 pips to BE values seem completely wrong and unrealistic!
there is always, always another trade!!

Yes there is mistake too. It s all under develpment. Im not very good in mathematic. My excell sheet definitely need improve. If anyone could help and than post it back I will really apriciate.

Just keep in mind how spread works. Many forget and pay the ultimate price at the end. Many never ever thought about it, but they should.

At every small or major bottom, the ask price NEVER gets there. At UP trend the winning buy limits order does not trigger at the bottoms you see on the chart. But the losing sell stops do trigger.

At every small of major peak, the ask price is ABOVE the rate you see on the chart. At DOWN trend the losing buy stops do trigger at the tops on the chart. The winning sell limits having the exact same price do not trigger...

That is why you most certainly will end up with something like this, where at 30 pips TP and 30 pips SL, you will encounter 10 SLs and just 5 TPs.

At News times, it gets even worse...

Be careful with grid trading and martingale. You are at loss before even started the EA/strategy, but most of you just do not know it.

this is a martingale EA not a normally EA

Example: you trade on M1 with this martingale 1.49, the price go 100 Pips up in the next 15 Minutes (after news)
and you have Gridsize 10 Pips (100) then make the EA 9 Steps (10 orders)

0.01 0.01 0.02 0.03 0.04 0.06 0.09 0.14 0.21 Lot = total 0.61 Lot

if you trade on M15 the EA make only 2 orders the next 15 minutes 0.01 and 0.01

if you trade on H1 the EA make only 1 order

M1 with this Martingale and 10 Pips GridSize is deadly and MC absolutely sure

MoneyZilla: a Martingale closed most us a Basket us TP with this pair and not with a Pips TP on one order

There is no expiration from what I know, I have done a lot of testing but find getting a reasonable DD% quite difficult. Updates will come later this week.

gain 200% vs. DD 28%...why do you think it is not reasonable?

by trading half the size, both your profit and DD would get lower... gain 100% vs. DD 14% sounds better? or gain 50% vs. DD 7%?
either way, i think the corresponding numbers arent bad.
but would it do the same on live forward data too? or it is more the result of curve fitting to the (limited time) past data?
