Appreciate the response and your insight on this matter. Fortunately for me I am versed in this subject, and couldn't agree more on your points. My entire argument on this is that the current models being used to measure and determine Climate change and Global Warming, have already been proven false and can't substantiate their arguments with hard reliable facts. While fossil fuels do contribute to pollution, recent advancements have been made to curb their emissions such as burning cleaner energy. Still, I agree with Jen's premise that Global Warming is nothing but a buzz word that Government ORGS use as an excuse to exercise more control to impose rules and push crappy products for their paid lobbyist cronies! That being said, sustainability is a good route, particularly as it relates to our waste.

I wouldn't say I have one source, but a number of them, both on the pro and con argument.

One I thought that is good that has a reasonable explanation on the the data models being used and why there can be unreliability or are susceptible to Cherry picking data to suit a particular agenda is this one.

This is funny. Nigel has offered to be Theresa's conduit to the new Trump administration.

The Ukip figurehead said it was vital the pair form a close partnership and told his ally Mr Trump to 'come and schmooze Theresa,' but added: 'Don't touch her, for goodness sake.'

The second thing is that the diesel generators are there for backup, i.e. when the wind stops.

As the generating capacity reaches a level where there is enough to reliably keep going I can see these expensive back-up facilities being used less and less. Now that we are nearly out of the EU I wonder if electricity bought from France will become more expensive.

Last year the spare capacity in the UK generating network was 1%
That is right, not enough to support the network when some maintenance is required.
This of course is due to careful planning by our leaders.....
