Why trade spreads? The Nov 16 $26/27 vertical call spread (or bull call spread) is also $15/contract, but it has a b/e at $10 less than the same priced straight $40 long call. Much better probability of making a profit with the spread. BUT, the max profit is limited to about $1,650 for the spread. (The long call has, technically, unlimited profit potential...)

Trading is all about making choices. Bunt and move your man from 2nd to third, put him in scoring position? Or swing for the fence? Well, you can do some of both. I'll probably do both of these trades come Monday.

PR voters in FL will not be voting for DJT, in general. If FL swings blue, it's most likely over. Looks like AZ could, as well. Wild cards are there, though, in the Great White North - MI and MN. NH w/ 4 EC votes doesn't matter much. But prolly game over if FL votes blue and definitely over if AZ follows suit.

Anyway, if ^VIX slides overnight, long vol entries will be a little kinder. Also just lookingh forward to the circus to pack up and go away. BTFD. Pretty much the news from US equities the last couple years. Every dip has gotten bought. If you are lucky you BTFD and ride the pig. Spoos action overnight tonight says we are right there. Just need to get through the week and if there be no shocks to The System then we should see that rally for the next month +/-. I'm sure hedgies would like to see this years equity high water regained, I will go out on a limb and say there will be new ath's before the Dec FOMC.

Just found this thread, every now and then i check on forexfactory to see if there are interesting new threads going on,most of the time i don't find anything worth to follow and i move along.
This time i am pleasantly surprised to see that there is alot of FA and news flow discussed in this thread, since this is the thing that i am mainly focusing on and trying to master since the beginning of this year.

I am wondering if some of the more experienced contributors of this thread rely a lot on bank reports and analysis and if so which banks analysis they value the most.
I don't want to follow and believe anything they say, but i am aware of the fact that a complete team of analysts must have a lot more knowledge and be smarter then me, so using there work to my advantage could be beneficial.

I have already found a few banks that have no password protection to there research portals so they are free to visit for everybody. On the other hand i have a lot more banks with password protected research portals and they only give access tot there institutional clients. I have tried to gain access by filling in forms using fictional firms , to others i was honest about the fact that i am just a small retail trader. Unfortunately i have been ignored by all of them which i kind of expected but i felt i had to try anyway.

So now i am trying thru this way, is there anyone who has connections or does know how i can gain access to valuable research portals?
Some time ago i got my hands on various reports that where being mailed weekly, if anybody could get me in the mailing list i would off course appreciate it too.

Here is a list with links of the free access research portals i have already found, maybe they can be of use for the people in here that never looked at those.

As tapering a QE program is a triky process and ECB has no experience about it, I am wondering how much/far ECB could model its tapering on FED's one and use it as a benchmark . Of course ECB and FED missions are different, and if the legitimacy of ECB QE is more based on inflation concerns than employment and growth, I guess they could be inspired and learn from FED's experience to make the things as smoothly as possible for the markets. Below just some thoughts about what could be ECB easing-off calendar

Markets aligning particularly careful for tomorrow. Bonds, Yen, CHF, Gold and Euro (all risk hedges) quietly held until election are cleared, while US Equities closing to the tick on last break out to ATH to avoid missing a quick relief risk rally if US election goes smoothly and in perfect position to just raise bid if things go 'Banana Republic' in a too close to call mess....

As expected nothing in play for the roll in currencies with all maps crystal clear for tomorrow. We are officially in no man land given the circumstances until the first exit polls which is a good time to open and review the election flows and beyond plays in the next few hours...
