Straddle trading EA

I was looking through the older versions (4.3 and 6.10) of Amazing EA. The if statements are horribly bugged. I wouldn't put money under this EA since it seems so confused. How much has the code improved from version 6 to version 9?

Here's one of the bugs:

Since this was the first initialization of these variables with values (declaration was done previously), the defaults are all 0. brokertime = Jan 1 1970, because secofday was still 0.

Another bug: you're using TimeGMT2() instead of TimeGMT(). TimeGMT2 is deprecated for years, undocumented and not recommended.

Regarding version 5.2.0:
Lines 786 and 791 did not make the same mistake as 6.10

MinStopLevel is not broker safe (min levels can change during news)

"start" is for scripts, old style. "tick" is for EA, old style (This isn't a script!)
OnInit, OnDeinit and OnTick should be used.
I would personally change the Lot Sizing to be manual.

I would personally only trade 5.2.0 if using an ECN and some of these settings:
SlipCheck = False
AddSpreadToSL = False

There are some additional logic checks I need to make before I'd feel comfortable with the code. I worked with Derk, we went drinking in Portland, Oregon together. He kept asking for Absinthe, I kept asking for Virgin Martini's. By bar #4 I was plastered drunk and loudly explaining quantum physics, he never even got a buzz. I wonder how Derk would feel about you stealing FFCal and not including a copyright notice in 6.10 and beyond.

I am sort of a "start from the beginning" type and so have read every post in this thread
several times.

It is great that FF keeps the messages up and available.
They serve as an archive of development and of user feedback.
When trying to solve a problem related to straddle trading, I start here with a keyword search and
if nothing then move on to the later "automated" thread.

If you also like to start from the beginning, I recommend a search for Robert Borowski's influential
e-book "Amazing FOREX System".
(I am not a lawyer but it appears M. Borowski is no longer in control of the same-named .com domain)

Hey Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone here knows of a simple straddle EA that has
basic SL, TP and trailstop. But, also has the option to adjust what time you want it to trade?

For news: manually add the time of the news event you want it to trade.
Or anytime that you would like the EA to trade.

I'm looking for a simple (free on live accounts) straddle EA.
Please let me know if they know one that exists?

I basically want it to have a time option to start the trade.
And, an adjustable expiration time for the trade to last til.
An adjustable distance between buy and sell stop
TP, SL and trailing stop/step.
