Trading the news - straddle entries on GBPUSD

I was just wondering out loud on my Can I make 40 % per month etc etc thread on the idea of doing a straddle entry on GBPUSD 20-25 pips either side of current market price just before the UK news comes out.

Is there anyone out there that does this, tried this?

I've tried and crashed and burned the US news sessions but never tried the UK news sessions.

If you do these entries on GBPUSD for the UK news sessions I'd love to hear from you.

i do it +- 1o pips but gbd usd has more slippage or spread widening i think its hard , you have to watch out for whiplash
