Fundamentally this quarterly rise in Aussie CPI numbers are crap.

"The most significant price rises this quarter are fruit (+19.5 per cent), vegetables (+5.9 per cent), electricity (+5.4 per cent) and tobacco (+2.3 per cent). These rises are partially offset by falls in communication (-2.3 per cent) and fuel (-2.9 per cent). The rise in fruit and vegetable prices is due to adverse weather conditions, including floods, in major growing areas, impacting supply."


If you take out floods causing short term rises in fruit and vegetable prices, and tax rises on cigarettes, you wouldn't have anything to cheer about.

Yup, which means the actual numbers are far weaker than expected, which also means another rate cut - probably within the next 2Q's. The world is watching USD rates at the moment, that will determine the sentiment.

Hello Traders

I'm new here from South Africa, I have tried for 2days to adjust the indy settings to align my broker (AXITRADER from Australia) with Davit charts but it is still not aligning to Davit charts. i aslo read through post no. 62/63 still did not work. i have print screened the closest I could get in adjusting it, please help.

I must say the Trading in the zone by Mark was very interesting, watched part 1,2 & 4. taking the 20 sample trades exercise.

Hi again guys! Hope your week of trading is going well ! I'm still short on UJ, banked 80%~250pips, trying to learn from the answers i got before about taking my profits and thanks for the answers on my previous questions all of ya!


So here goes

When i brought up a new chart, i was just gonna go in see if my Default.tpl was the right one and i noticed this ->



Pivot Method? anyone care to explain this one?

I remember a few months back also a little fighting to set-up.
What fixed it for me was simply brokers candle = true.
You can also completely forget about H1 start/finish candle, it is not checked for the candle = true.

It looks like axitrader has new york close as their close of day, set broker candle to true and you should be ok.

Your first question was Why would you go long here ?.

Please study Daily Chart first before asking that question.

PA hit major support and was squeeze last week.

The swing low last week at Major support is good way of looking for long position.

Study Daily Chart, it seldom trick or lie to you.

You mean , you traded less then 2 years ?

Do you know how to analyse Price Action (PA) ?

Do you know WHY Davit's use Fibo Weekly Pivot in conjunction with Price Action ?


Third statement ; this one trade doesn't add up to me

Im surprise ? Why are saying that ? Please enlightened me.

Look at the attach 240M TF Chart. Do you see price is making HL and HH. Does it add up to price is going higher ?

I think you're confused. Not me, this is definitely add up for good long set up.

In short, I will reduce posting entry , as this will lead to many confusion to other traders.

I made reentry for EUR/CAD and still hold position, recover from minor lost and up 250++ pips now. I will post the trade once i closed it.

I will follow post of other members here, only post closed trade ( done and closed only). This will clear up all doubts and confusion to new member who joined this thread.


Instead. I let new member to post their entry regularly and will assist them when i got free time.

Pivot V2 settings - I struggled quite a bit to find out. Download Davits Pivot V2 - Copy from the paperclip

This is what works for me, the pivots are only a few pips off Davits.
living in Europe, Fxcm broker with new day open at 5pm NY time

But... As far as I can see (Not sure of this) You may have to reenter values at start of the week EVERY monday morning
It seems that mine are selfadjusting, this week it displays 2016.10.24 23:00 to 2016.10.31 23:00

Brokers candle - True
H1 start candle This week 23:00 (for me...), should match 5pmNY
H1 finish candle 23:00
Display start.... - true

i dunno if my 'modded version' of weekly pivot plot indi will be usefull for you to analize.
i will share here only if Davit allowed me to do so..
its still buggy tho (im a bad coder)

EA closed with small profit (averaging)..
it may go north and give me masive profit, but i prefer to play safe..
