Hello,

I am new to meta trader and I am not sure how to really interpret the results of Metatrader Strategy files.

I cam across a system and I have tested it. The returns are as claimed, 5000% in a short time. It sounded great to me; However does it mean that the system will really work as anticipated in real life?...

I wait for your comments.

Thank you,

Ed G.W.

p.s. to the forum moderator: The forum posting feature does not appear to work properly in Firefox; May be you can fix this?...

Hi Merlin,

Below is the screenshot. The message area is grayed out and nothing can be typed... I use one of the most recent versions of firefox : 1.5.0.6 .

I have to use internet explorer to post.

May be a bug on the version I use? Or might be a compatibility problem with the problem in general...

Thank you Ed G.W.

hello,

As I understand that high figures in Strategy testing does not mean that it will work in real life. I will increase my literature about it.

But, I do not know what figures are in strategy testing considered normal, and which ones mean extraordinary.

Can you Merlin or anyone experienced, inform me if the attached strategy results mean something; or does it at least give a clue that it is a good strategy or not, at first glance?

Thank you

Ed G.W.
