Hi likica, the trade you just took here was a divergence trade with the trend I think,

but the trade you might take at the 1.6000 will be hidden divergence, but it is also with the trend because in the short term price is making higher highs and higher lows??

sorry but i still get confused sometimes

yes, it sounds confusing if you said that.
my short opened on Fri (hidden and div) was with down trend of that day on m30.
today price did bounced off 1.600 but hidden div did not form as expect and price is now parking under 200ma & DOL, I am not in any buy (only profit taking, bulls not here yet). By the current look, I wont do anything, just wait and might see a short set up later during NY/US

Got out of this position for a small loss,
Stuck on DO and BRN ,
Managed it on H1 when it initially reversed an hour after I opened.
Second reversal 5 hours in things not looking good,
certainly the probabilities had reversed to the Long, so out I got

If you got in a trade because of an outside bar and not bother to care for other factors (facing DOL and without good location nor div), market sooner or later would shake you out...

Could you tell us your reasoning behind this trade the fact it was taken so late in the day on Friday and holding it over the weekend is not that a bit risky with the way GBP has been acting of late?

I appreciate the critique Likica , thank you.
I assure you there was more to my entry than just an outside bar.

Just running through my checklist,.
*TDI cross was perfect
*APB colour change also spot on
*Price below 10 MA
*Price below 200 MA
*risk verses reward was proportional
* M30 Yellow line was in trade direction
* yellow line on higher time frames was in trade direction
* Short entry below the Big Round Number
*No high impact news to influence the position
*Entry Inline with liquid session times i.e. after London open
*Daily ATR not exhausted
*Oh and yes the nice outside bearish bar at the bottom of the list

Yer ok, no divergence or hidden divergence and yes a Daily open line in the way, but hay I still consider it as a high probability entry.

Cheers Likica for your comments but as far as I am concerned sometimes trades just don’t fly and in my opinion that’s what happened here.
The reason I posted my trade was to provide honesty and some lessons to people in how to get out nicely when it doesn’t fly. Honesty and lessons in how to get out when it doesn’t fly are rarely portrayed on this website.

My reasons were marked on the GA chart I attached with my post. Note that location is very important to my trade + PA (DIV), but knowing when/where to exit is more important ...

I did note it was a very good location and div it just surprised me being time of day and holding over the weekend but obviously an excellent trade

Thanks for your honesty Ant. Yes, it's rarely shown under public eyes, and yes, not all trades end profitable.
The good thing you receive for being honest is that you will get my attention and my time to comment (if you value it and wish to get better)

What I wanted to point out is that all your reasons are yours (I guess it's on your trading plan) but they are not mine who trades m30 everyday if you read my posts again...as I don't take trade base on where price above or below EMAs, sometimes, it happens to be around them...if you mix my method with M15 (pips29's) or H4 or D1 (Emma's), you will be confused and have to sit with big DD before your trade head back to your direction.

Hello nefilim, good to see you got a green bag, I didn't lol but I would be interested to hear your opinion on my attempt [we entered the counter trade at somewhat different places. Likica's opinion would be valued as well.

Even though we are not using the same TDI there was still div on synergy for me to take the trade. I noticed HH's and HL's from yesterdays low [marked in yellow] then I entered on a TDI bounce.

price kept going down and closed below my brown trendline so i closed the trade. also many bars later i saw an outside bearish bar and i would have closed then if i had not already closed. This counter trade occurred in Asian session. I notice when I win on Asian session it tends to be with the trend. when i loose it's on counter trade and price has dilly dallied and created outside bars against me so i exit.

please can you critique my entry, trade management, time of day trade taken, quality of the TDI bounce or anything else you feel is relevant.
