If you are tracking price action on EURJPY, note that the pair is now on an upward retracement within the channel on the 4H time frame. The immediate target is likely to be the upper trendline of the channel, which is proximal to the 76.4 and 61.8 Fib levels. I may be wrong. Trade safe.

If you are tracking the EURUSD, expect a largely bearish disposition this week. All the technicals on the weekly, daily and 4H time frames are aligned for further southern move after a long period of sideways mode.

On the weekly timeframe, although the horizontal channel is still in play, the order flow is largely dominated by the bears and key support zones have been broken. Recent bearish price action is disposing towards a further target downside. I may be wrong. Trade safe.

If you would like to track EURGBP this week for possible productive trading opportunities, consider the weekly technical outlook below:

The trend on the EURGBP is primarily upwards but the sentiment of the immediate price action is for a retracement to the downside.

On the weekly time frame, the pair has been on an upward trend since November 2015. It has completed two price waves to the upside. A third price wave was being completed but for the fact that the pullback (the B-C or 2-3 move) was not conclude last week. The price is still at the 32.8 Fib retracement level. Much likely the pullback will continue and target somewhere around the 50.0 and 61.8 Fib levels, a zone that is proximal to the immediate weekly support zone (0.88118 - 0.87011). Last week, a bearish rejection candle was formed which reinforced the bearish mood earlier created two weeks ago by a long tail doji. If you are tracking GBPAUD, note that it is in an ascending channel on the 4H time frame in a predominant down trend. A break of the channel to the downside, perhaps after the current retracement should be of interest. Trade safe.

I will be watching GBPNZD like a hawk until it violates the conditions for the trap I am setting for it on the 4H time frame. Can you see the trap? It is linked with a break of the channel on the 4H time frame (magenta colour). Trade safe.

Doing this will greatly enhance your trading results and make you a more efficient trader. If you are tracking the EURGBP, perhaps you will find my perspective on the pair helpful.

The pair has continued its upward move. On the weekly time frame, the pair has completed two strong price waves to the upside and a third is in progress. A piercing bullish candle formed last week seems to be an attempt by the bulls to push further upwards after a retracement two weeks ago and may target the gap created four weeks ago during the crash of the Sterling pound or at least the long tail doji created three weeks ago. The technicals on the daily time frame are in alignment with the weekly bullish disposition of the pair. For details on this pair and a few more, check weekly technical outlook.

EURGBP has not been particularly remarkable - largely in sideways mode. But wait for it. Presently it is operating within a 4H S/R zone and may require a retracement to the weekly pivot before a further northward push. Otherwise, any break of that zone to the south is likely to test the beginning of the October 7 EURGBP surge.

EURJPY Technical Outlook

The major trend is downwards on the higher time frames. However, the market has been in a consolidating mode for a long while; clearly seen on the weekly and daily time frames.
On the 4H time frame, the most recent price action has been within an ascending channel (magenta colour), with the technicals all reinforcing a further push upwards towards the distal part of the channel and possibly with a target of the immediate weekly resistance zone between 115.960 and 116.210. To successfully track and trap the market for consistently profitable trades, you must take cognizance of the market trend and the market mode.

There is often a big difference between the market trend (particularly the major or primary market trend) and the market mode or mood. The latter is the current disposition or mood of the market and would impact significantly the outcome of your trade if your timing is wrong even if you align yourself with the market trend.

Position traders may get away with trading the major market trend regardless of the market mood, but intraday traders who neglect this would imperil their trading accounts if it becomes habitual. Trade safe.

If you are looking to trading the EURUSD this week, trading it as a ranging pair is more likely to yield good dividend. Although its current disposition is bearish, the massive gap down last week begs for further testing and perhaps a refill. I may be wrong. Trade safe.
