I am thinking about this concept. I may add alert whenever the sum of volume of a leg exceeds that of previous leg...

I like your legvolume, but is it possible to put zigzag price indicator onto the legvolume chart? Like that we can relate price volume easily. Thanks in advance.

I have found something in FF, but it does not work now. It could act as a source though.

If you believe that the price indicator, do not use any indicators. Simple.

If you use an indicator, you have to wait for the candle closing. Especially at the critical point and many smart traders.
But if you are using any indicator, you have trust it. Absolutely does not repaint after a candle closes.

Yes traffic moves and its dynamic but traffic lights dont repaint.
Two different things, do not confuse.

it is based on zigzag. so yes it repaints as long as zigzag does

brilliant indicator, I am a big fan of this, much appreciated.
1. The Ability to have "LegTotal Volume" AND "LegVolume/Bar" on the screen at the same time seems to have some merits I am still trying to come to terms with.
For example, it points out insider activity. Where "LegVolume/Leg" shoots up, but the "LegVolume" is relatively low this is showing activity intended to throw us the wrong way (or are they pushing the market up on low volume to sell at higher price?). Is there some way of combining the two indicators by adding a "factor" per "MathTrader Bar", for example (("LegVolume/Leg")/"LegVolume") on one of them?
2. As I say, i am trying to explore the merits of having the two types of LegVolume on the screen at one time, I am finding a need to change the depth on both to explore what is happening inside a zig and a zag! For example in one downtrend as defined by the zig zag there may be; a consolidation zone, a general down trend plus sum bullish (or more excessive bearish) areas. by exploring the relationship within one of the "zigs" it may help give away / confirm accumulation or distribution... To get to the point.. is there a way of changing the depth in one indicator quickly rather than doing it twice? or better still, one indicator with both "LegVolume" AND "LegVolume/bar" with the factor thrown in.

I improved on this idea quite a long time ago.

Each leg formation leads to an "event signature" (visible before the end) usually at the end of the move...

Hi Thanks for sharing.When i run i get zero divide error and only displays green bars.Any solution ?.I think my data history is complete.I could not understand why it does not display red bars

Capture a screenshot of your Experts tab and post it here. It will show the line in the code on which you get zero divide error, and it would help me to track down the bug, if any.

Hello. Is it possible to add the function of MTF in the indicator Math trader 7 leg volume?

I think this indicator is great but VSA traders would prefer to see the average volume per leg. Each leg varies in length so the volume needs to be shown as an average so that we can compare each leg objectively in our analysis.

Hy Mingary, this is very interesting, could y write more about this concept ? And is a proprietary indicator ? or a free one that y are using ?
