eur/usd m30

disappointed a bit with profits.

saw an inside bar @ trendline, and price was making lower lows and tdi was at the 32 and stocs was oversold so took it with a pending short when it broke out of the mother bar. stop was @ top of mother bar. like a 9 pip stop. price reached almost to my tp then bounced up and the candle was forming a outside bar so i took profits. A bit later price came back down and went past my original TP

got around 1:1 on this trade but should of got more

LO set the high with triple tops, went short after pin candle closed below ema 10 , target was set on structure with possible triple bottom, with US holidays price actually accelerated after the open which gave a lot more pips

Hi likica

following your thread. After few attempt on some strategy. TDI could be suitable for me. Like you said before any entry, i will check H1, H4 and Daily trend for any SNR.

Still with demo But looking good now with some confidence.

I didn't consider the line you drew as a strong trend line, which should have at least 3 clear points to join the line.
I dont consider it a failed trade but bad management ( I expected a retrace but I forgot to adjust my sl on one of my accts.) Here is the same trade on another one of mine where I put my sl a few pips below the low of the recent swing, then I moved it to BE as trade +30 .

likica, this is interesting to hear from you ....but I am also slightly confused, I always thought 2 points were enough to form a trendline,

your trade here has only 2 points

Yes, 2 points can join to make a line. but if you are referring that post with my red thin line as a trend line, which I didn't say it's a trend line, but a simple line, and that's why it was not strong and it broke out easily :-). . Please read my comment again on both posts... broke out of choppiness ..., and a 'strong trend line' is treated as a good S/R that I was talking about on my recent post replied to you. A suggestion, pls go back to babypips.com if you still find my explanation confusing ( I didn't not go to babypips.com to learn the basics, but I saw lots of traders recommended to others, so I bet the website has lots of info to learn for free.)

Shorted LO open and closed with 5 pips , after LO set the high of the day, went short again and closed for +30 pips
