working on a re-entry method for already signaled trends.

Had an inverted cliffhanger but waited for the 21 sma(middle bolli) break to the buy side for entry. Allways on a 1 hr chart.

long 1.2797

s/l 1.2780

1st target 1.2817 resistance. And top of last wave up. Looking for a break to hold position and will pt on reversal.

ewo is bottoming out in green and looks to turn up, cci is above 100 again

PT 1.2814

+17 pips

This hours candle is corrective in nature. I'll wait for the candles high to break on one of the next candles befor I consider a re-entry.

Price has dipped into a sell signal now. I missed the entry.

Price also ran into the same 1.2740/50 support as it had befor.

I will wait for a correction back near the 1.2786 pivot for a short entry. And ride it for the retest of support.

Here is a selection from a Q/A from BOB Prechter....

Q: When will we know for certain that we have seen a market top?

Bob Prechter: For certain? When it's too late to act!

Q: If you don't know until it's too late, should traders try to pick tops?

Bob Prechter: By all means, yes. Waiting for certainty means waiting long enough to miss it.

Turns out I already felt this way.

I guess some news came out or something. Price is wipsawing.

Glad I didn't place a short at pivot.

I have no clue as to what the markets gonna do. And niether does the market apparently.

when in doubt sit it out.

nothin special almost got me the wrong way. I was gona short near pivot and s/l woulda got hit almost immediatly. But I decided to sacrfice 5-10 pips on entry to let the 5 min chart reverse and mabe even a close of the 1 hr below 8 ema.
I am real bad about trying to get in to soon. Been doing pretty good lately.
And stuck me a econimic data release weekly callender on the board for me to see every day.

Got more news later this week.

LOL. I should've put a smile next to my comment.
More news this week? no, not really.
Old guys will talk on Thursday; trichet 8:30am est and bernarke at 1pm est.
We've got nonfarm friday, but hey, for veterans following your thread, it should be a breeze...

Price don't seem to want to close below 8 ema on the 1 hr chart. This is very bullish sign. A quick dip to pivot-1.2800/10 isn't unlikely either, befor continueing up.
The 21 and 55 ma's are steady trending 5/8 isn't crossing.

No shorts. Only long trades. I prefer to buy if price dips near pivot.

CCI is holding steady above 100.

Price hasnt closed below 8 ema yet on hourly. Showing bullish tendencies. As well as the 21 sma(blue) adnd 55 ema(yellow) are trending evenly together.

I expect a quick dip to 1.2800/10 befor it countinues up.

Just wondering if cci and ewo are both already in buy mode, what will they have to do to give you a buy signal. Like for euro at the moment?

Thanks

they'll have to cross for a sell signal. And yea there in buy. This is an unpredictable consilidation. Just when you think its going one way it goes the other.

CCI crosses 0 line will be the only viable trade for me.

But cci break back above 100 line can be used. But move might not go anywhere.

I took the move up this morning at 5 am est after some weak euro news, set trailing s/l and a target of 1.2880. And went to sleep.

My target was missed by 1 pip. And s/l was trailed to BE. I was pissed when I woke up.

The fast move down to 1.2785 moved cci and ewo into a sell signal but there is bottom trend line support and I didn't take the signal.

This has not been a very trade friendly week for euro$. Not for me anyways.

I am starting to look at the euro/jpy charts now. I noticed it has nice definitive wave patterns and is more trendy. Looks like my signals can last longer and go further on this pair. I am currently waiting for a corrective sell signal to come. Current euro/jpy trend is up. Sell signals will have a max target of 40 pips. The long signals I will let run.

here is a 1 hr chart on euro/jpy. ewo moved into sell but cci didn't and the drop below the pivot was short lived. Looks like a 0 line bounce signal.

Here is the 4 hr chart on euro/jpy.

the long term trend is up. Short signals are short lived but long signals give nice trades.

I am thinking mabe only take longs. Not sure yet.

euro$ I don't get it. was the nwes $ pos. or $ neg.

First move was streight down. Now the euro is making gains above where it started hours after news.

Indacaters cann't show me nothing and I have no wave analysis for the euro$. I am really beginning to hate the 1.2900/1.2750 range.

price has been zig zagging around the 200 hr ma for some time now.

No trades untill the price gets out of this range

its vacation time i guess.

It’s hard to make any sense of price movement today. I made very good profit in both fiber and cable in the first 30min after data, and then was stopped out on second half of my position. It looks like break out to the downside didn’t work out so now let’s try a break to the upside mentality. I’d say one more week and traders will be back at work after summer vacation.
That should bring the market back to normal..
Cheers,

David,

I hear you, this is strange whipsawing, my data cant count for this. This definately should have been a downward move....enjoy the vacation.
