I don't recall Nigel resorting to juvenile behaviour during the referendum campaigning. Nigel is very polished and clearly got away with any remarks he may have made. All I'm saying is that I'm not so sure Trump would.

Look, don't attack me for stating an opinion on a personality! Sure, I agree with Trump's policies, but as a person, he leaves a lot to be desired. I don't like the guy, got it?!

Hey I respect that Jen! But I wonder how much of your dislike is formed from the sources your read or watched? Could he be a totally different person if you knew him personally? It's possible, and that is all I was pointing out. His public persona leaves a lot to be desired, but honestly I can't say one way or the other, for the simple reason I don't trust what the media says about him, because I simply don't know the man! Just the facts mama Bear!

Hey, you know me, I'm happy to be convinced whichever way. You can try to convince me that Trump is a nice guy, American cars are fantastic, you pay more tax than all socialist countries, Man vs Food is a healthy American diet and corn bread (which is just a huge slab of cake) as a pre-starter is normal for a light lunch.

Anyhow, doesn't matter what I think does it? I have an EU passport, remember?

After waking up this morning, and learning some new details of Trump, (a slanderous video of his conversation with a Hollywood reporter back in 2005 is the new media buzz) I now realize that your characterization of him is justified. I am not sure at this point what to say, I am absolutely conflicted and confounded at the same time, if that makes any sense. This couldn't happen at the worse time in our nations 200+ year history, at a time in which it's fate will be determined by these two extremely polarizing people, who have so much baggage, that the electoral process has reached a new low by having these two as their nominees to represent their parties. You simply can't make this stuff up. My only concern right now is avoiding war with Russia, and despite what these two represent, voting for Trump is holding my nose to spite my face in order to give us a fair chance in stopping Hillary. If she gets elected, our country may very well spiral out of control into a civil conflict not seen since the civil war! That is how serious this is. Also what is increasingly alarming to me to support this perspective is the recent mass movement of military assets by Homeland Security that is currently going on in the US, as if they are preparing for such events to unfold. Remember there are a lot of Americans who will not be willing to give up their guns, and if any election fraud is found where Hillary gets elected, then I definitely think that there will be some kind of repercussion or of some kind of confrontation with the US Government and it's civilian population. To me, a Hillary presidency will be the end of America as we know it. Also I highly doubt she will make it through her first term in office if she is elected. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see a woman president, just not Hillary Clinton! Surely there are more qualified woman out there that can do a much better job without the baggage and war mongering Hillary brings.

As far as our cars are concerned, we make a lot of good products. So it would be interesting to me, if you specifically listed the cars you speak of as being mattresses with wheels. Of course that is not without saying or admitting we do have some models that are atrocious, like all car manufacturers have to their credit.

American Diet? I don't know what that is to be honest. Our biggest problem has been sugar consumption, one of the leading causes to obesity. For me personally, I learned from the best when I was competing in sports how to eat right. Dr. Robert Haas "Eat to Win". I have a holistic diet and never deviated from that. Something I hope to pass down to my children, if I have any of course. For the rest of America and Americans eating right, it needs work, just not the Michael Obama militant subjugation method reinforced by the Communist cult!

For what it's worth, I too would vote Trump if I was a US citizen, not because I like him, but the bigger picture would surpass all personal preferences. What I was trying to say, is that I would think that the majority of people would not be like me. I believe that as a whole American people are quite driven on an emotional level, rather than the pragmatic. It is just the way your culture is. The average IQ in America is 98, which is pretty darn low! I believe that is not an even distribution, meaning that you probably have a weighted bell curve, whereby there are few extremely intelligent people with the majority being pretty dumb. Unfortunately it is the majority vote that counts. Now, that's the problem with democracy!

I watched the video. What on earth is going on? Have you ever had a President who dropped dead (other than being shot) during their term in office? I think both Trump and Hillary are too old. Over here we don't get a constant feed on your elections, only drips every now and then so I don't see that much. Plus it does drag on all bloody year so it does get rather tedious! Just get on with it!

I couldn't name many American cars. You give me one that can match the performance of the M4 http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=9184986#post9184986 A road car for general sale. I don't mean top speed. Are there any that can take that chicane like the M4? What if I was to stick a spirit level on the dash and took it a bit slower through the chicane? European roads are very different to what you have in the US, they are not big and they are not straight!

Edit: The French drive like that all the time. Worse. When you look in your rear view mirror, they are so close you cannot see the bonnet of their car; their windscreen fills your whole mirror. That's at speeds of 90-100mph, not 40-50 like in the video. I've never seen anything like that happen in France. Anyway, French drivers are another species. They like to overtake on blind bends especially on tight mountain roads (2 way) with no barriers and they like to play chicken with you on narrow country lanes. An armour plated Hummer would be useful, with GB plates and Union Jack! Haha, damn frogs!

The American diet is terrible. I remember in Florida driving around trying to find a supermarket that actually sold fresh fruit and veg. They was pizza galore though. I really struggle with American food. Aside from the absolutely enormous portions, there is far too much salt and you put sugar in everything, including bacon! Sweet bacon! Far too much red meat. I never have processed food, I cook everything from fresh and it's largely a plant based diet. Little red meat, lots of fish. It's what my kids have always known. I'm proudly more European where food is concerned .

Yes, for the most part I agree on the Trump issue. In all fairness, he did put out a video addressing this, apologizing as something of bad judgement. Still, I imagine 11 years when making those statements, he wasn't even considering running for president,. Anyway, I can't defend him on this, it is totally not in the line with being the gentlemanly decorum that we would come to expect from our president, regardless if it is in the past. It's sad really if you want to know the truth. But, in the face of what is at stake for our country's best welfare, I have to vote for him, our lives depend on it.

Anyway, the suspicious military asset movement is a bit of an unknown right now, but this has been going on for the past few months now, and prior to that, Homeland Security was buying a copious amount of ammo, amour Assault vehicles, and weapons which also raised a lot of questions as to why? Americans have been on edge about the UN training 20,000 Russian soldiers in a discreet military base in Tennessee as well. This is no doubt a very strange development and I am currently looking into it from my sources. It really has to make you wonder what really is going on with all the activity in recent times.

I watched that video and I can say without a doubt is not due to design flaws. Most of these are driver errors while driving an SUV or pickup Trucks. The first example was due to oversteering, as the driver slammed on their brakes but was trying to steer away in order to avoid a head on collision, the second is almost the same reason at a high rate of speed. Also SUV's and Trucks are top heavy and are not designed like performance cars who have a lower center of gravity, and are more agile. SUV's and Pick-up Trucks such as the Ford f-150 and Jeep, or in that first example in the video which is hard to tell what the make of that vehicle is, but appears to be a Chevy TrailBlazer, are designed for driving off road or in snowy or wet conditions due to their 4WD capability. The Jeep, the Humvee, the Ford Bronco, Chevy Tahoe, and the Cadillac Escalade excel in the SUV class. Although, my favorites have always been the Toyota Landcruiser, and the Land Rover A10 defender, I would however consider a Jeep Rubicon, which is in a class by itself when it comes to SUV's. Also third on my list would be the Mercedes G class.

As far as comparing an American car to the BMW M4, I would have to say the Mustang GT, the Shelby (which I own one) compares almost equally in performance.

Also not all our roads are straight and wide. Granted we have more open space, which makes driving fun in such places like Arizona which has plenty of S-curves and switchbacks that are even challenging for the top performance cars in the world.

I too like BMW's, (my favorite being a M5) for that matter most German cars are exceptional so I would never try to make the argument that American cars are better over all, that is simply not true. However, it is not fair to say that American cars are crap, because that is not true either. For example, the Cadillac XTS, and CTS is an exceptional car, both in design and from a technological aspect. Don't forget the Tesla is one of the worlds top rated electric cars. Then there is the Ford Fusion, Ford Focus, The Dodge Challenger, and the Chevy Impala, which are all good cars. Besides my Mustang and Dodge Challenger, I have not owned any American cars since the early Eighties. I always drove German. From VW's, Audi's to my last car which was a Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel.(this car the 123 Chassis was one of my all time favorites)

Yeah Florida and it's abundance of pizza is not surprising, as Florida is made up of a lot of transplants from places like New York and Chicago, that have set up pizza joints all over the place. There are stores like "wholefoods" that you could get what you are looking for in terms of organic produce. Also Florida is known for its Oranges, and when I lived there, I would always find the Farmers markets where you could get, fish, and fresh produce.

Florida is one of those places where man ruined in terms of it's ecological environment from all the real estate development that has taken place over the years. Ah yes the stupid people who had pet Boa constrictors and Pythons that were released some years ago by irresponsible knuckleheads are now causing a lot of problems to it's eco-system as they have multiplied in numbers over the years and are actively being hunted to eradicate this problem. Those snakes are not native to the Florida eco-system, and are a threat to a lot of endangered species such as certain types of birds, otters, Bobcats, and other small animals native to Florida.

This was a show I grew up watching when I was a kid. Ha! Anyway, Florida does not look like this anymore, however the everglades are still there, but this is many years ago 40+

Ok, Ok..... I'll give you that on the Mustang. I've never driven one, so wouldn't know. We just don't get many American cars here, maybe it's the EU protectionism thing, I don't know. Arizona has tight roads and bends? I didn't notice any . But $24k for a Mustang? Are you sure? That's crazy! I'd expect to pay 2-3 times that for an equivalent car. If the Mondeo is American (which I'm a bit confused about because of the Jag X type engine), then you have me convinced on American cars.

No Florida oranges in Florida. They all came from Australia . Yes, I know Wholefoods which is very good, but isn't it sad that that sort of thing is not mainstream? In my opinion the best supermarkets in the world are French by a long way, LeClerc, Carrefour, Hyper U, Intermarché... Did you know that they price everything in FF as well as in euros? One foot in the exit door! They have been waiting a long time.

The M5 doesn't have a manual transmission anymore. The best manual option is the 525d M sport which is what I'm looking for now. According to Jeremy Clarkson, "The 530d M Sport is very possibly the best, most complete car in the world right now and it’s hard to see why the M5 costs £31,000 more." 530 is auto box only. I am going to thoroughly test drive the steptronic gearbox next week to see if I can live with that but I think I'm a bit of a purist, I'm afraid. Anyhow, I don't need 0-62 in 4 seconds! 7 seconds is fine.

HA! Fair enough! But just so you know, I agree with you on Trump being a pig.

The Mustang GT at 24K does seem a little low, and I would imagine that is a bare bones price without all the bells and whistles. I think in the range of 27 to 35K is more like it, when you add in things like rims, tires, custom seating and audio. The other mustang models like the Saleen and Rosche are in the 50 to 80K range, but they are after market custom built and target a specific market group.

Hmm, I wonder what year you went to Florida and the time of year. It might have been a seasonal thing, or when they had a premature winter freeze.

Yes I wish Wholefoods was everywhere. I love wholefoods. I was trying to bring them here to Singapore as one project proposal I was working on with a group of investors, before I ran into a buzzsaw of overinflated overhead costs, regulations, and greedy greasers, such as the case when doing business in Asia. It is really a shame, because there is definitely a market here in Singapore for wholefoods. But the most challenging problem is logistics of importing organic foods. Singapore imports 85% of their foods from countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, USA, and Argentina and others I suppose, which creates a lot of competition. We just weren't willing to pay enough money for the real estate requirements to the local authorities, which really only caters to the really elite elites who have no problem being fleeced (pay to play) in order to set up shop.

I done a few on some older models, but the 530D would definitively be one must have toy for my garage! Also to answer your other question about the Mondeo, I do believe at one point Ford used to own Jaguar and I am not sure if that is still the case today, or if they have some sort of arrangement of collaboration still going on. I do know that Ford and various British Car manufacturers have collaborated on a lot of projects over the years. This I like a lot and wish would continue. I am a huge racing fan and always admired British race car drivers and their accomplishments over the years. Take for instance the Ford GT 40, it was a car that was designed by JW Automotive and Ford in order to beat Ferrari. It revolutionized racing history when it was introduced, and succeeded in beating Enzo.

I'm testing the 530d. If I like the steptronic box, that will the one I'll be getting. I want the night vision, head up display and adaptive steering too though!
