HI,

I combined the indi's ADX Slope New and Advanced_ADX Kerry into one new indicator.
The matching of the scaling is not needed.

we can see that the slope of this new indicator is not equal the ADX SLOPE NEW
What we need is to get something like the ADX SLOPE 2 without the indicator autoreflesh

Hi,

Be carefull with the interpretation of what you see when you do not use same scaling for all indicators in same window.
Take your chart.
When i look to the adx period = 7 and the histogram indi, they are pretty the same. Maybe exactly, but i can not see the scaling.

The other ADX lines are different (not in slope, but in position in the window with respect to the period = 7), but this is due to the auto scaling used in MT4.

To make this more clear i made new chart.

First sub window I have put in Combined ADX with a scaling of minimum = 0 and maximum = 100, period = 7;
I also put in basic ADX period=21 (gold/yellow line), but I did use the auto scaling of MT4

Second sub window I have put in ADX Slope New and Advanced ADX Kerry. I gave them both a scale with minimum = 0 and maximum = 100, period = 7.

You can see both sub windows are the same.

Third sub window I have put in Combined ADX with a scaling of minimum = 0 and maximum = 100, period = 7;
I also put in basic ADX period=21 (gold/yellow line) with a scaling of minimum = 0 and maximum = 100;
Now you see the yellow line on a different place in the window, but properly scaled with respet to the other indi in the sub window.

Look at the green vertical line with the yellow arrow.
Visual in sub window 1 and 2, the value of ADX with period = 21 is higher then the value of ADX with period = 7.
But this is fake.
In sub window 3 you see the values drawn with all indi's same scaling and then ADX period = 21 is lower then ADX period=7.

By the way all is build 1010

Hope it is more clear.

So if you have several indi's in same sub window and you do not give them all the same scaling be very carefull in making conclusions.

Thanks for quick response, excellent work as always

I've got time later to go through these and will feedback

One quick comment, this point of the fixed scale for this window was a topic of conversation way back in the early days and it was agreed on two counts

1) technically your point is valid and that if you leave unfixed then you cannot measure the precise values of each displayed line

2) visually the unfixed lines give the intended function as per Alien's design. It is easier on the eye and the ability to see when each of the lines is becoming exhausted is very useful in knowing when pullbacks will occur, this clarity becomes lost as the lines overlap more at the lower part of the axis

The beauty of Aliens approach is the visual way it displays what is happening, there are very few (if any) absolute values used. This has proved itself over and over which is why it should be a maintained part of the system (if possible).

I haven't tested your indie yet but based on the comments back thus far, is it possible to achieve what you have provided (ie a single indicator) but with the feature of unfixed values for each line within the window. ie by example my version of ADX Slope New running on v950 but superceded by your single indie running on V1010+

Hopefully I have summarised what was quite a lengthy discussion when it first surfaced and hope you may help

No, I didnt get that one I was more intrigued by the AUDUSD top on H4 and made 70 pips

P.S : I see a double bottom + divergence on the GOLD H1 chart. Maybe a good time to go long?

first of all, thank you for your efforts as this is an issue that we have from a long time.
On the other hand I want to explain the importance to have the ADX lines unfixed. All ADX lines are important as their contraction to floor means that afterwards there will be an expansion of them and a big move. Usually this comes together with a BBS. Furthermore the fanning of the 5 ADX give us clues about continuation of the move and timing for exit the trade.

Talking about ADX and combining... please consider adding the ADX feature in the Dashboard you provided on your post no. 15.299 (in this case based only on Alien's set up of ADX full power).

Please see my post no. 16.133 and 16.395

Please also see AYAN post 16.159 with ADX indicator with full power alert.

Could somebody help me analyze AUDUSD a bit further? I see a double top on H4 which instigated the wave 1 and now I am waiting for the wave 2 to end to start the wave 3, the money wave where we enter.

We got ADX compression on H4 which started to fan out a bit when the wave 1 occured. Does this mean a bearish move is incoming?

Am I doing it correctly? I am still pretty much learning it.

Hi Boferer, I'm not good at wave counting so perhaps other Alien users could help ... I see M15 divergence however at the top of the trend channel; on H4 looks like it will cross short... What ADX indi are using for your squares ... Just wondering why mine are so different to yours...

I got the template from JPadvisor I think

The way I see it is as a top on H4 with a divergence shown + a top on the daily. SO in my opinion after this H4 retracement wave is finished, there should be the wave 3 which could be nice, but I might by wrong.

Daily (rsioma) and H4(21sto) has bearish divergence
H1 has now hidden bearish divergence
The retrace of H4 is not too big,put fibonacci retracement on the recent swing high and low and you will see that price hits exactly 61.8 level.
If you watch closely,Monthly tf has a DS short developing and weekly tf is looking for the 2nd top (21 sto)

So do you think it is wise to go short now and targetr 0.72-0.74? It might be the trend continuation on the weekly TF.
