What a day ... i am loving it... now no open trade.

Jokes apart, I believe he started well, trading with the trend, then he sabotaged himself to the point of losing almost every single trade !

Good results you got there, keep it up.

Anyone can have numerous winning trades in a row or double his/her account in a jiff but that does not indicate good trading for what I am concern. It is more about guessing more than anything else and a moment of luck.

A trader has to develop a method where he/she can take money out of the money with consistency, here money is not important, it is just a measuring tool.

The question is how do you do that?

Well, people can do it in many ways, for that little I understand the most successful traders shape a style around their own personality, so their trading became flawless, there is not constrain, of course they have gain a vast extended knowledge of how market works first and then they brought themselves forward and melted all together.

I know a great trader, he does not use protective stops but has the guts and patience for prices to get back to him........it is ok for him because it all that relates to his personality..........Now, can I also do that? No way, I have a different personality and trading that way with contract me, I am more of a control type and if the trade does not got in my direction I prefer to be proven wrong so I can move on another instrument.....here I can trade flawless as well, yes I will have losing trades but on 4 trades I will win 2 and I will enjoy my work, sleep at night knowing every day is a new day..

Markets go between trending, ranging and nothing at all, a decent trader needs to learn to adapt and trade/non trade with what is there, "market has to do nothing".

You new the DAX was going up! just bad timing you planted too many seeds in one area, add loads of whip saw, a small account and bang goes your money.
I got stopped on my long positions so much with the whipsaw I walked away, fortunately I had stops at BE
And look what happened yes it went up. Hey Ho thats trading.

he lost liek 20 potisions in a row. At some point he began adding to losers, cutting losers and re-opening in the same direction, not taking profits in the hope for huge moves.... I wouldn't blame the market.

I do not agree with you, most people fail because they think they can take advantage of the market using simplistic methods by being disciplined.....that is not enough. Yes easy but not enough.

You can be disciplined as much as you like but if you do not know how to read and act on the market with the right timing you will fail.
