{quote} It is a casino. If it it is a business then it's glorified gambling.. I have no problem with that. It's not a question of getting results or not and what one must do to achieve these results. it's a question of "territory" One may believe that one has a "good map" unfortunately the map is not the territory. The map will take you out sailing on a clear day, you will come safe and what a great day that was ! The map will take you out to sea again ... this time the huge storm sinks the boat and all ... Understand the territory, it's a lot better...

Can you be more specific ,trading is ALL about mapping the territory.. the other option is to toss a coin.

Do you have at least one good map ?

EDIT: k I get what you mean, "gambling consciously is better than dreaming", then why not trying to find an edge and enhance our probabilities !? in the end we have nothing to lose.

If a map is like a system or indicator then a map that puts you on the ground in the best possible location is ok. Once you have landed an already prepared ground map will certainly get you in trouble. The worst then is an "if-then map". The best is a map sort of like a Bruce Lee's "be like water" type of map
But the best of the best is no map at all (:

Don't go anywhere near this ZEFX guy, I let him trade my account once and he made a little profit at the beginning , but he later completely destroyed my account.... guys a complete scammer 100% stay clear of him, he is a gambler and will risk your entire account on one sequence of trades and pray to the lord hoping to lock in some profit when it goes green... most times it does and it appears he is making money but when the market stays red, he just adds more trades to the losing position until you hit margin call or stopout.... that shit is what you do in your first year learning how to trade

{quote} Exactly... What is wrong with you not understanding 101 of marketing? What is wrong with you to not exposing sharks and allowing inexperienced fall into trap? I'm not sure what's your point. This is a trading forum, when someone begins they MUST exercise caution like with anything - on a snowboarding or motocross forums you'd definitely see people doing unbelievable stunts, risking their lives and equipment, but you wouldn't chase them with a pitchfork yelling "burn the witch!" to "protect the littluns". It's ridiculous. It's the same with trading - no one says it's easy, it takes time, experience and hard work to reach an equivalent level to those performing top stunts.
We all started at some point in the past - if someone performed a quadruple front flip on a motorcycle from a 2 metre ramp, backed it with no evidence and preached others to do it you'd NEVER believe it, you'd never try and risk your life. A user like that would probably be banned from a forum... well, forexfactory doesn't work like that, so exercise triple caution

There are people here who share great knowledge and their topics should be read and understood twice as an introduction to markets (e.g. for me it was 'Seneca pilot's thread). There are humble, kind and successful traders on this forums using different styles of trading to learn from and to suit everybody's character, and there are cons who post lies and "follow my teachings and you will be a millionaire" to tickle their egos.

OP aimed to do a quadruple front flip. He set up a live feed and documented his stunt. So, he managed to do "only" a double instead of quadruple and he managed to get out without any injuries - great for him, I'm glad he's alive. But, that DOESN'T mean that everyone should try a stunt like that. And there's no need to act like a knight in a shining armour...

TL;DR - pardon for a long post, don't want to be cocky or start an offtopic debate, but I consider myself to be a beginner and I keep saying to myself every time I sit to trade: Use your head, analyse, TEST. Then test again, and again, until you stop lying to yourself and have relatively objective results. Testing and trying on fake money, then on a tiny account, look at percentage change, not at amount. When you double your bubblegum-change account you put in a bit more money. Rinse and repeat.

Being a doctor or lawyer takes at least 5/6 years of studying (and drinking), unless you're from a well-off family you work in pubs/restaurants in the evenings to pay your tuition and study during the day. Trading is the same - it's a study. Treat it like one, you wouldn't operate on your friends/family until you've proven you can do it, would you?

Why would you honestly expect for anyone to refund anything? I wouldn't go as far to say this guy is a scammer, but from the previous post, it would appear that his style of trading was very reckless. Don't get me wrong, I margin but that occurs for not following a specific system, but when I do things as I should, this happens.
