Why so positive?is it possible to do this as you do?

This why i hang around forums sometimes, too much positivity ,you read dreams like this and you start to believe it.

You turned 500$ to 25000$ in 12 months with 10-20 pips daily profit ,wow.that 's 25000$ for an average of about 3600 pips yearly profit if you win every day ,your risk per trade must be huge,wasn't it ?!!!!Logically what you are saying is not logical at all ,making 5000% in 1 year with 10-20 pips daily profit.

what you are saying is every trader 's fantasy ,could you be an inspiration to all of us and connect that account to a TE or myfxbook link?

Its actually very simple.

If you think that it is possible to make a living with Forex then it is... All those who think that is outrageous to make any decent money in Forex are right as well.

I was for a short period of time, but I have another business that I run now as well. I find the timing of cash flows to be very unpredictable in FX. My other business helps even that out.

I understand perfectly...

This is my first post here in quite some time. Sometimes not worth the data space to post anything. I am thankful for those I learned from but a few times it was at great cost to my psyche. I work hard to protect my mind from the putrid fruit that is often found in these pages.

Who am I to argue with anyone about how to trade. Who hit a baseball better? Ichiro or Mickey Mantle? Their swings are poles apart in similarity. They each got the job done.

Tomorrow is another days trading. Hopefully I'll catch a few pips in the morning.

Depends on how much you love your day job, also when you have no other income the pressure is significantly more acute. Another thing to consider is what you would miss from your job, I haven't had anything that could be described as a "proper job" since 1997, one of the things I missed was the social aspect of mixing with colleagues who share the same goals. Self employment in any form can be a lonely path.

Andrew, if I can offer you those points.

As an employee with a job you:

1. Spend significant part of your time in an office, most likely with people who you might not like that much after all and neiter they love you so much.

2. You put all that effort to serve your boss's wealth. Your 150k (-minus taxes) are not that much. I am sure he make after all expenses 10x or 100x times that. Are you happy with that?

3. Your 150k job today can be and will be replaced. With an skilled immigrant or a robot or somebody who can do it cheaper. I can assure you that and advice you to look closer on current social and economy trends.

4. Get familiar with The Cash Flow Quadrant Explained By Robert Kiyosaki. He might not be the best ultimate wealth advisor, but he has some valid points there.

5. FINALLY, the question is this: can you scale up your job to make you 2x, 4x, 8x times more money??? Answer is: no. Can you scale a business (whatever it is) to make you 2x, 4x, 8x times more money??? Answer is: possible. Would more income give you ability for look for opportunities you have no chance to pursue due to your job commitment? Would that make you more happy? Are you truly happy now? Does yor job gives you the most you want and need in life (beside family)?

In summary, job is ok to build some cash, but wealth and freedom, both financial AND personal is not built because of a job.

Soooo.... do you want to be an employee for longer? How long?

PS: referring to GuyBaker and social aspect of a job. Work colleagues are not friends. Does one prefer to socialize with associates or friends? Does having non-job business, facilitate time for the first or second?

PS2. Let me give you one more insight: this week, in half time I made more money the you in your 150k job for the whole week. I started Monday afternoon and was finish by Thursday morning. Which means I worked about 2.5 days this week. Which means I have 4.5 day weekend now, till Monday afternoon, more or less. And I did not have to wake up in the morning to sit in traffic just to find that I must fight another day of office politics.... That is why I have time and willingness to offer you my views.

Good idea! Yes, I am also for living! Forex is challenging, but I never give up! I have faced so many difficulties in my trading, but I always was positive and tried to learn from my trading mistakes! Till now I am leaning from my live trading mistakes, it’s the why how I am improving actually.
