Davit I tried to make another version of the formula in your indi, the difference is that these pivot leaving a trail of previous pivot, making it easier for us to compare the previous market price movements and is also compatible for various timeframes. Try this Davit

Hi Imdisaait,

In my own limited opinion (I'm still learning it) what you said seems to be the main strategy:

1. Wait for the price to hit an extreme level which should be a combination of overreached ADR and PA at a key reversal zone: 61~100. Note that if the market is ranging this could also happen at 38 level, where the price could range between S38 and R38. On Davit's suggestion when this is the case we should only enter on one direction according to the key fundamentals of the pair.
2. Check price action for signs of reversal.
3. Check TDI for final confirmation to enter the position.

What I'm still trying to figure out is what to do when the price passes a 100...

According to Davit, when this happens then this move has strong fundamentals behind this. This leads to 2 questions:
1. When the price passes 100 should we then aim at getting into the position according to the trend and go with it or should we just stay out of it and look for other setups?

2. After the price passes 100 and reaches 138, 161 or 200 how should we deal with it? Considering we are in a fundamentally driven trend can we expect it to head back pass the WP line or should we be open to the possibility of a reversal at key point before the WP before moving on to lower lows (in a downtrend) or higher highs (in a uptrend)?

For me this is very important information because I think I understand how it works in a ranging market to a low/average trend market but I'm still lost in a more trending market.

I hope that the senior members can help us understand it better...

Yes, this surprised me as well, turned a winning position to a losing position... Does this make any sense at all? I know I'm still a beginner but I feel like the market these days is very sensitive to all sorts of news and we're getting these jumps based on very small things and yet don't react accordingly on bigger things... I think that things will only get "normal" after the US elections...

This will be key for some backtesting!!!
I could leave you with the following suggestions:
1. Could you add the Pivots up to 200 (138, 161 and 200)
2. If we could change the color of the lines in the same style as Davit it would be great!

I did consider this before and did not apply in my trading because to me clarity is most important.Every week is NEW week with new pivots and new way to tackle price.To me knowing frankly where pivots were last week or entire month before is just cluttering your brain with extra data that may influence your trading now in the present in negative way..
Each his own I will stick with the way I trade which has been extraordinarily profitable and why fix something if its not broken.That goes for TDI alerts etc.

Some of the comments here on my system and trading in general is mind bending.
This is the result of not having been trading enough.The reason I am firm how I like this thread to be because I have been both Art teacher and Chess teacher and know where people are in their development. This is not trading 101 this is advance trading! When a person does not know to take a loss when clearly wrong I cant help.
To guys who are new to this my best advise is ask less and take more.Be silent in a good way observe Price Action.Observe charts posted here by Me Arjun Mch1970 Pipssniper etc and learn what they do.
Don't just fire questions relax allow your brain to assimilate new way of trading and allow space for you to understand.Did you download the PDF's on harmonics and trading psychology?Did you watch any videos on PA? did you practice some trades and wrote down your mistakes and analyze? You need to commit and do work.I usually can detect who does and who just fires questions.

good start and welcome.Pivots don't change with MTF so I don't understand your comment.If you want to clutter your screen with 5 different mini screens you can do so but I fail to see the logic to it.I rather see clear chart and I can click on 15min and 1hour in seconds switching in between. Negative side of having so many screens open it takes lot of PC power and you might experience freezing of your MT4 when you least want it like before the news.

Hi bakamx. Always difficult to base trading decisions on and decipher price movement from news events. In this case CAD employment was up, but unemployment rate ticked higher to 7% and taken with the GDP contraction of 1.6% in Q2 - from a news perspective, certainly seemed to drive UC higher.

From the perspective of price action, pivots and S/R , take a look at the attached chart, which explains some of the logic around how to read PA on UC last week.

If you look at he first part of the week, UC moved lower, away from the weekly pivot and there was a series of lower highs (LH) and lower lows (LL). There was a double bottom between S100 and S138, which provided strong support - after which price moved to higher highs (HH) and higher lows (HL). This is important because price moves in wave cycles and there was a change in this wave cycle through Wednesday and Thursday.

By the close on Thursday, price had recovered to S61 and there was still a missed weekly pivot. Hence it shouldn't be a surprise to see price carry on its upward path, to take out the weekly pivot. Also look at the TDI last week - the yellow dotted Market base line began turning up and stayed that way all week and similarly the TDI cross signals were also on the same upward path.

I traded UC long last week, building positions from S61, S78 and S100. I closed most of my position at the S61 level and left a small residual in play for the CAD news event. As price moved in favour of my trade, I added to my position with the weekly pivot as my target. Had UC reacted to the downside, my small residual position would have been taken out at SL, but my overall trade in UC would have still been profitable.

Weekly pivots are like magnets that price gets attracted to. After a 4 day period of price moving away from the pivot (look how much time it spent between S61 and S100), eventually there was a move back towards it. This is hugely important to understand. Take a look back over the charts of the pairs you trade and see how many times price moves away from the pivot, especially between S/R61 and S/R100, only to be drawn back to it.

My apologies Davit, I was referring to the TDI indi not the pivot one. IF at the bottom we have a layout of the TDI on say from M15 up to D1 we would be knowing when all time frames have been synchronized. If for example we take EA on these mentioned time frames we would have noticed the attached at the selected point marked with the red vertical line.

I think you must understand that TDI is just support roll in fact I can trade without it as well with no loss of confidence.Your thinking is assuming TDI taking a primal roll of decision making process hence I can see why you like the idea of MTF TDI.
You got 6 posts at FF and without any trading track record on my system you are already consumed by desire to "improve" my system.
Let me be blank its not the system needs improving its the trader trading the system.You can add alerts,MTF on TDI Pivot history etc and still fail making money.
What I am teaching here is pure trading with price action at key pivots.What you do with it its your business but if you gonna post trades here please post with my template and indicators as is.

Afternoon Davit,

Your response to S3ntin31 was very diplomatic, yet your feelings were made clear. I'm sure that S3 is a great guy and his intentions were admirable; however, I want to thank you for maintaining your template in its original form. I have read through your thread twice, read Harmonic Trading, and currently in the process of reading Harmonic Trading Volume 1. I've spent countless hours going over charts that have been posted by successful traders of your methodology, and the light is now becoming brighter at the end of the tunnel. My plan is to start posting live trades next week. The concept of limiting risk with multiple small positions, and taking trades particularly in the positive area (61-100) places the probabilities on my side. I truly am relaxed when I trade now, and if PA moves against my original position, I will simply add additional positions at the appropriate time not to exceed my maximum risk.

You are making great progress and just the fact you went through harmonic trading books tells me you are taking this seriously.Kudos to you.Looking forward next week.
Arjun is perfect example that you can trade my system as is with my template and make great pips.I don't get people who have not even tried trading this method already are in process of improving it....,just baffles me really.
