That makes alot of sense to me! So, .112X has a very valid reason to be used in sisse's iteration. Makes more sense looking at it this way. As I said before, my PLAN and EXIT plan which I have lacked for quit some time is to EXIT and CLEAR my positions at .112X or EXIT 2/3 of my trade and trail closely.

A much needed shake in US equities. Suddenly with the slightest 'no more so easy free money' hints from CB on sight (FED need to confirm to make the official shift in expectations) bad news will be bad news ... we are aligning for the 'normal/usual' macro factors trading environment for Q4 onwards....

At least we finally move from the comatose 2 months and equities are back on the trading workspace....

On the FX board, watch-out Euro losing the handle for the roll as it will leave the brexit lows naked for a test ....

It would NOT be. My fault. Sorry guys. I switched up my ranges I was talking about and forgot this sentenced followed the wrong range I switched. It was supposed to be a good BUY in neutral at the extreme of .112X (FLIP) area and BOTTOM of range for the past couple of weeks for the BULLS and would be worth the small risk. In NEUTRAL you can BUY or SELL at extremes to the MIDDLE.

.1200 is in the middle of this week's range so not a good BUY at all. Thanks sisse for catching my mistake. If we are still in NEUTRAL at the Bottom of the Range from A to B .097X to .135x would .097x still stand as an extreme or does that change once you cross the FLIP line as I would expect OUTLOOK to change as well. Perhaps, not.

FA dependent? (I hate that answer but I think it's the right one.) Otherwise these maps we are drawing would just be a different set of magic lines with tech. triggers and it would easy.

A flawless week here (welcome back markets !!! after the doldrums of the summer), Bastards were not really happy as expected after the ECB major 'silence' and equites in a much needed pullback for now. Oil also played out flawlessly for those playing the close play from yesterday.

Finally Euro for the first time since July showing some serious weakness after ECB but stubborn and strong bulls refused to capitulated and barely held the break and the handle for the W close .... Any soft wind will crack the Euro for a couple of handles but as always ...no break no shake no nothing ....so same levels, same trades, same all...

Hi everyone, new here but I've been lurking for some time. I must say I'm grateful for all the knowledge I've been able to glean from reading the insightful posts here. I've been playing around for a demo account for some time and am still having trouble figuring out correlations.

I have a question for those who are more experienced than I (which is probably most people here ), but does the recent shift from monetary policy to fiscal policy break the correlation between risk off and the euro's carry trade? If equities continue to fall, won't EUR/USD go up, similar to how the YEN will go up? TIA

Lots of noise in the street from the 'coordinated hawkish' action (post Jackson). Draghi first, and the FED is sending the pawns on the media, clearing the path for Yellen if needed later.

The noisier it gets the better for volatility but the less chances for this being nothing but a preemptive 'expectation talk' to try to tame the bastards for FED Sep that have been ignoring all except free money ...

We'll see, but Bonds across the world keep short-circuiting on the background and we are starting to see some real cracks. Euro and Dollar following through in the next week or so will be telling and will pretty much give us a very nice playing field for trading across the board this month ....

B. ECB took care of the rest as expected. There is only one way down down down-> LMT SELL 1.120x -> TP1 => 1.112x | STP > 1.130x

I have been observing this thread for over an year now, all these times I can tell you Sisse's Macro economic insight is remarkable, par with some successful US fund managers out there. I know this because I worked for an investment firm (Big firm) and had access to two macro economic services. The updates and analysis we get through the subscription and Sisse's update on Macro economics are almost always the same....... This makes me believe that this guy knows what he is talking about hence the following of this thread for over an year.....

Lately I started to question Sisse because some of the answers he give here for short term positioning/entry/exit, I feel like he is playing with the words. (I believe the reason of confusion for people like Imrachi)...Also I do not remember seeing any updates from him about his loosing trades and/or wrong maps etc but have seen many updates where he is in a profitable trade and closing it....Again this is just my feeling and i could be completely wrong, hope i am wrong.....Any active participants of this thread feel the same?

Hi, I don't write much but you can see many posts of sisse where you can see he was wrong but he never leaves the topic open ... Sisse will close the topic...

Nobody is always right, there is nothing wrong with losing trades. Sisse never posted winning trades, just his exit levels.
By the plain logic if he is respecting his own rules and maps he has at least 50% accuracy which makes him profitable with his RR.
Not that this would matter for any other trader following this thread. Sisse being profitable or not or how much has absolutely nothing to do with my trading or anybody else's.

I am very much surprised that you following this thread for one year and even claiming you were professional trader don't know that.

The nicest thing about sisse's insight and posts is that anybody can get at least some good tips and tricks no matter if already being green or not. Trading is never ending learning process and we should always be thankful for Sisse's time and post ( I personally don't give a damn if he is profitable or not because how would this fact help me? It doesn't, so I am not wasting my time worrying about it. And neither should you ).

Of course he knows what he's talking about and a single wrong or good call doesn't make any difference ...

For me the premium value in sisse's post is the way he show how to build a logic map whit reasonable expectations and put everything in a wider context (invaluable).

FA hints are great too, especialy how to translate them in trading terms.

Would like having more time to follow, reply and practice.

Sometimes is not crystal clear? maybe but maybe it's me and not him and anywai it's a free forum post ...

Another one worth reading imho is skfx, great trader, very nice person, and with reasoning very similar to sisse's altough he has posted more on a TA side and shorter timeframes.

I agree with your first part of your post, second part I disagree with you . Sisse sometimes play with the words so we have to think. It is good IMO. Market is not always doing what it rationally should do from TA and FA ( Would be nice if it did ) . We trade expectations and short term a event can turn that around 180 degrees
