This is old information on opening range break out and pivot trading. If you want to learn more about it, you should read Secrets of a Pivot Boss. Ochoa copied his system from Toby Crabel - Day Trading With Short Term Price Patterns and Opening Range Breakout and Crabel based his system off William Greenspan and Jake Bernstein's techniques. So all this material came from the old pit trading days. It worked a lot better back then, but the market changed a lot in 30 years.

Part of the reason these techniques don't work as well anymore is that the market compensated for the older breakout methods. You can read more here. 3 reasons not to trade range breakouts. Range breakouts work better when the VIX is up, but that only accounts for 30% of the yearly average.

The same is true for Market Profile. It worked better before the order flow structure changed over the past few years. If you want to learn more about MP, Mind Over Markets by Robert Dalton and Trading with Market Profile by Peter Steidlmayer are the two best books on the subject. But like ORB techniques, MP has become far less effective as a trading edge over the past few years. You can read a short summary of why things changed here.

There's nothing wrong with sharing information, but if the thread starter is going to copy and paste other people's charts and repeat their writing word for word from their book, he should make it clear what he's doing. It's probably better to read the actual books by professional traders than chopped up versions of their material on a forum anyway because a lot of important details are often left out.

Thanks for the invite! but I'm too far now. I worked in the Middle East for 9 years, until I decided to have a self-imposed vacation ; )- that was 1.5 yrs ago.
But then, I found myself reading about Forex trading. Now, I'm still learning and consider myself a newbie trader.

Oh! you've been here... good to know. Makati City is a good place, especially Greenbelt area. There are other cool places nearby like the one where I grew up, called Bonifacio Global City, part of military base camp before. I live near that place as my father is a Vietnam & Korean war veteran. If ever you come here again, just let know... but not in too distant future ; )- unless you have a very important business that you need to be here. Why? ---The President here formally declared a state of lawlessness in the country because Abu Sayyaf claimed responsibility for the bombings that happened last Friday night in Davao City which killed 14 people with 71 injured. They recently switched its allegiance to ISIS and threatened to bomb more across the country.

By the way, thank you once again. I'm reading those materials shared here like Secrets of a Pivot Boss

Nice aggressive longs on AUDUSD this morning v2 well done, carrying over the bullish sentiment with the higher value two day relationship on this pair and that lovely gap from fridays nfp to be filled. Nice trading!

No worries, I was just recommending labeling source materials you're cutting and pasting here when you post them. (by the way, I'm not recommending Frank Ochoa. I think the company he works for, Nirvana Systems is a rip off. I would recommend reading Toby Crabel though, the person whose system he copied.)

Maybe I'm having a hard time understanding your English, but you said "If hold below pp target S! take half profit on median. If market Gaps up above PP Weekly dont enter wait for the fade back to Value at PP and enter" But then you said the NC play was, "buy at a candle close above the big white time frame pivot i.e. weekly PP that was the Call last night no at 4 ticks of open........let market gap down first!!!!! "

lol... Anyway, I have to get back to my trading so will leave you to it. Good luck!!

Here are the correct DWM Pivot Points for NZDCAD based off NY 5PM close as Daily Roll.

Nice going Dennis, GU looks like another bounce off of TC/CPR and possible break of IB high (UK Sess) again for another scalp north.

Thanks! yes... starting to feel the market heartbeat. But I palpitate and exit too early at times, then I miss the market (with news) just like what happened to GBPUSD. I setup already the Daily Open line for London/EU open session and outlined an Initial Balance box from Asian Session.

By the way, I like Thai food very much, now it makes me feel hungry and longing for Thai food, and the massage... even just a simple foot massage along the streets of Bangkok is so good. I forgot that popular joint there wherein it is having grocery store inside and a dine-area, you can even see the food being prepared for you. This is located beside a hotel and somewhere in Bangkok. Oh I forgot, that Guava dip in salt with chili.... hayyyyyzzz.. Good food while Trading

kindest regards...
