Hi,

I need some help I am stuck in a short GBP/JPY trade @133 with 3.9 lots can anyone help me about how to manage this trade, I really need the help should I open a hedge or wait to retrace my Margin level is 1000 % Please help.

hedge it before you blow it , atleast give you time to think about how deal with it seek professional advice

stop that trade out and try to go long in the next days
you will not see 133 again for quite a while

I would hedge and then get some professional help to square up your account....once hedge is in place I'd be learning like crazy to get yourself out of this position unless you want to take a $10,000.00 loss?

Trading Gbp/Jpy is called 'Riding the Dragon' and there is a very good reason for this. It's the most volatile pair I know of but just recently it's been quiet so maybe you didn't see how volatile it can be and got caught or just inexperienced in forex...

But don't feel like an idiot because way better Traders than many of us here have taken way bigger loses, it's how you deal with it that matters...

Thank you very Halbot, I have hedged now, yes I am inexperienced I do not want to take this loss, I did hedge a few times before but hedging is also a big problem so how can I manage the hedge would you be able to give me some information as I usually traded eurusd, but now I find myself stuck in this pair, I would really appreciate the help.

um? SL order failed? Retrace? after it bounces off 140? hedge, thats a huge gap, dont see how hedge can help you now, you should have buy stops to the top hedging all those shorts or a few more longs, kinda late for that now

Artooks, unless I was there with you I don't have the experience to help you on this, maybe someone else in this forum could? But as Bones just said wait until it tops out then remove your sell and let it come back to 133. Trick is when will it top out and then to put in place pending sell orders as price heads back to 133...Also as you generate funds back into your account you can then trade those to get out of the hole you've dug
But you need someone helping you on this over next couple of weeks.....but you got courage there my friend to bring this up in a forum...
