Seriously,,, I cannot set up an entry on auto so it would of had to be manual....Call it luck but it retraced down and I actually caught the low for 3 points. 3???? I made a mistake and closed trade ....

it would be good to automate a system but the human brain has a slight edge.. I SAY THIS POSITIVELY , I use auto to place trades quickly as auto is faster than brain at placing orders...BUT if we had a losing trade in counter could the auto system then scout around to trade another pair.(like the US 7th Cavalry coming to the rescue).

I know billyt,

I have profitable robots on EURUSD, but I'm always look for better ways and who knows maybe I could try to write some code here and then see how it goes..

I think it can be done but difficult.
I think make money then use it to buy something, ie buy a house and rent it out or resell. That way you will not lose at trading. If you don't trade you wont lose.
Getting back to robots or my way of trading, as DP said stabilize a loss with a hedge/counter..
Like a Special Forces Operative is trained to fight and commando/para . Always look for the next area to hit head shot,solar plexus, throat , knees, ribs .same with Trading , trade the triggers, stabilize and look for next trigger even if it is the next day or days.

My answer to the question is : no
BTW i was reading some posts from Dancingphil coming from the link provided by David.
Like you he is hedging quickly(-11 pips) a losing position.
"getting out of a hedge is no more difficult than releasing the profitable side of the hedge at my next trade entry signal" means he never open 3 different positions (he never hedge the hedge). does it make sense for you ?

edit,, you cannot really hedge the hedge as you will just be opening another lot on the original trade.

Dax 2 hour candle stats off 06-00 for November 2015, 20 trades and 16 wins....
Total for 3 months stats 71 trades and 63 wins...
Getting the stats is the easy part it is then finding the best way to trade them .

You are right , i made a mistake ... about never hedge the hedge ....it was for something else ...

I've made 17 on Dax yay. one long and a couple of shorts. It isn't the plan but more scalping today. The long was to plan though.

I was going to say.. Cable high failed and also the low but the high broke again for a nice gain.. I did not trade Cable at all. I actually had a fault on my chart which broker informed me of. Every thing is ok now.

Cable, I have set up orders above and below the range it is currently in. Range is approx. 33 so easy to manage. a nice drop would be nice.

Cable, the break of high consolidation almost triggered. I closed the trigger as I wont feel confident longing it. the low is still pending

Not yet. No trades so far give it time it will fall.

Looking back all the clues where in the 15 min from around 17.00 GMT yesterday. Easy to say now but consolidation on 15 min is good.
